Tofu spicy soup was one of the best we’ve had. Portions are great too. Definitely recommended.

I ordered the hot stone bibimbap, seafood soft tofu stew, and bulgogi in a stone pot. Although the hot stone bibimbap was $1.50 more expensive, the stone pot wasn’t hot enough, so it felt no different from regular bibimbap. The ingredients were so sparse that it was more like eating rice with some seasoning rather than an actual bibimbap. As for the seafood tofu stew, there was only one shrimp, one mussel, and a few tiny pieces of cheap seafood that were barely noticeable. The most shocking was the bulgogi. When I received it, I was surprised by how little meat there was. After searching, I realized there wasn’t even a spoonful of bulgogi, just a few crumbles of meat. I asked the server about it, and they said that’s the usual portion. When I requested they check with the kitchen, they offered to add more. When they returned with the dish, they asked, “Was the portion too small? We added more. Maybe the kitchen made a mistake.” While they did add more, I found it odd that they asked me if the portion was small, as if it was subjective. Both the server and the kitchen staff should know this, and yet there was no apology for the original mistake, only an attempt to make the portion size seem relative. The service was really disappointing. Additionally, there were spiders crawling on the walls and the floor was dusty. It felt like they were being too stingy with all the ingredients. I don’t think I’ll ever go back.

Ordered two sweet potato noodles off DoorDash and when my order came the portion size was half the amount and they didn’t give me the beef which was apart of the meal. Called the store and they told me they would give me extra meat the next time! Sorry but there won’t be a next time!

Overall, I enjoyed it :)

The interior and menu composition were clean and nice.

However, it's not that the food isn't seasoned properly...
Is it savory? It was too bland for my taste.

There were some parts that left something to be desired, including the ingredients, preparation, and details of the dish itself, but considering it was a city, I thought it was quite delicious.
(Even for the same dish, there is a dolsot version and a flat version, but the reason for ordering the dolsot version is the savory rice that presses and the fiery taste that comes from the sauce sticking together... I honestly didn't think there was any reason to order it because there was nothing like that.)

Bulgogi is delicious, but it has a lot of broth, so I thought foreigners who don't know this dish might think of it as a soup noodle dish along with glass noodles.

However, I was a little disappointed that the tteokbokki had no taste at all when eaten with other dishes.

For tea, I ordered yuzu and corn silk tea, and it came out neatly in the kettle, and I drank it well because I didn't use a tea bag.

No side dishes are provided :)

I felt that my original review from YEARS ago was outdated. Back then, I had a bad experience with the closing hours. But the past few years, I've been picking up from here often enough that the staff would recognize me and were so kind!! And the food is delicious, I'm a huge fan of the kimchi jjigae especially. An absolute must-have in Kelowna <3
