We popped in (as usual) post-Costco Langley as one of our favourite pit stops. Their snacks & beer is always great with a fun selection of games. This time we were greeted by Austin. When asking his preference between a sour and pale ale, he shared that he spends most time in the BOH & didn’t want to sway us into the wrong choice. His genuine (& rare) honesty & kindness was a privilege. He shared some stories on the upcoming Dino event they’re participating in and we were very well cared for throughout the visit! Thank you Austin!
Good place and beer. IPA is good
Good cider, great pretzels
Friendly staff, cozy place, brews tasty
Good calm atmosphere especially in the happy hour autumn 🍂 time.
As I walked in the bartender was attentive and showcased great customer service. Before I made a purchase he asked if I would like to try it first. (He could tell I was browsing the menu a bit). I liked it so I ordered a pint.
When leaving he was still very friendly and wished a good day. This may seem minor but these days great customer service is becoming less common.
The reason why I left a star is due to the pricing on some items but... perhaps its not necessarily their fault. Almost $10 for pint of hazy pale ale.
Our usual go to for take away beer but lately the last two consecutive visits, they've had very limited selection in the fridge. I.e. No Permenant Resident cans?! I guess it's not so permenant after all lol maybe rename it FTW beer
Went over on my lunch break for work I don’t drink so I can’t speak to that but I got a smash burger and the staff was very welcoming and kind and let me tell you the smash burger was an 11/10 doesn’t get much better then this place
My partner and I came in on Saturday around 4pm. We were greeted by a kind male bartender, which was a pleasant start to our visit.
Initially, we were hoping to try some tasters before we ordered the beers we wanted.
A female bartender took over serving us. When we asked if it would be possible to sample a few tasters, she appeared against the idea and looked at me in an unpleasant manner. However, she did provide us with three tasters afterwards.
As we sampled, I asked for the price difference between 12oz, 16oz and 20oz. The lady looked at me like I shouldn’t have asked the question and the way she talked made it seem like I was asking a dumb question.
Her demeanour was uncalled for. It’s reasonable to ask for prices. As I finished paying the bill upon ordering, I absolutely regret tipping. I would have preferred if the tips went to the male bartender who was more deserving of it.
The tasting room was not busy, and there were some people sitting at the bar that the bartenders seemed familiar with and friendly towards, which is the opposite of how the lady was with us.
The interaction with the female bartender ruined the vibe afterwards. As we left, only the male bartender said have a great day!
As bartenders, it’s important to have good customer service and communication skills, which sets the mood for customers and impacts their decision to come back.
Unfortunately, despite the beers and other staff being good, this visit left me with a negative outlook and it’s unlikely we will be returning there again.
Definitely a family friendly establishment.
Few too many kids for our beer drinking afternoon.
Food good. Beer good.
Great beers and awesome daily specials - will be back

I travel for work and get to visit many great breweries in different countries. This is one of my favorites. The staff is friendly, food is good, and the beer is great. It may be small but has a large personality.
Have been about 4 times now and was not impressed with customer service. One girl seems to always be on her phone while I'm standing waiting for service. The other girl was reading a book. I've never seen anything like it. This is a consistent trend that my friends and I noticed, that they stand behind the bar on their phones. No smile, don't seem happy to be there. Kind of ruins the experience. But they still expect their 18% tip to walk 1 foot to pour a beer and put on counter.
Excellent food
Rented a Keg from 5 roads for our football draft. Seamless transaction, beer was great and it was the hit of the party. I did shop around to the other local brewers and 5 roads was the easiest to deal with and they had everything where others you needed your own bucket or tap.
Highly recommend the Mexican lager, easy drinker!
Good beer and pet friendly ???
