Food taste was just meh.

Ordered two Pad Thai and added shrimp to both for an extra charge. One of the orders had two pieces of shrimp, and the other had… none.

The lettuce wraps were good however.

To be honest, quite disappointing and I’d skip out on this restaurant. Tried the Pad Thai, Pad Ped, and Thai Ice Teas. Pad Thai was okay but tasted like ketchup, Pad Ped had no flavor, and Iced Teas were okay as well. Not as authentic and flavourful as we had hoped for.

It is a great restaurant with a vast menu of very tasty dishes.
Crying tiger and the curry dishes especially among favorites.

I’m generally a sucker for good Thai food… but Thai and Lao fusion food? YES PLEASE!

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while. It’s a very beautiful casual restaurant. We went for lunch and they had a few lunch specials which was great.

We tried the Tom Yum soup and the chicken cashew. VERY delicious and the portion was quite good too.

The service was actually quite good too.

I recently visited this restaurant and was quite disappointed with the service. When we entered, the staff greeted us with “How may I help you?”, which felt more like we were delivery drivers than dining customers. A proper restaurant welcome would have made us feel more at ease.

During our meal, a staff member came over halfway through to ask if we wanted to pack our food, even though we were still clearly eating. This made us feel rushed and uncomfortable. Toward the end of the meal, another staff member quickly started clearing our table and asked if we were ready to settle the bill, again making us feel like we were being pushed to leave.

The food was okay, but the service left a negative impression. I hope the restaurant can work on their hospitality and create a more welcoming dining experience for future guests.

Me and my girlfriend has been to Naka countless of times and at this point we’ve been served by all the servers they have. Food was amazing as always but the service need some serious work!
Everytime we visit, it’s the same attitude from the servers. Having to hunt them down to get what we needed, never once been checked on and makes us feel judged for dining in… I came in today with my girlfriend and the server Katie had literally taken our order, placed the food on the table and was never seen again until she needed to get last call done. We then asked for the bill and our bill totalled to $61, I gave her $75 in cash and she asked if I needed change, I said it’s okay no problem, she said “okay bye” walked away and didn’t even have the courtesy to say thank you have a great night! That’s a $15 tip not because her service was good but because I’m a server too and have been in this industry for a while so I know that the money she makes isn’t just for her but the audacity to just walk away with no sort of communication throughout our whole dining experience is just crazy.
All the servers look like they just got out of bed and not professional at all and do not look happy to serve customers.
I honestly never write bad reviews especially not about staff but everytime we visit it’s the same situation with the servers.

Authentic delicious Lao food which is very hard to find. Definitely a hidden gem!

We don't get out to Langley very often (nor do we see Laotian food around town) but we visited Naka in April.

We ordered the Spring Rolls ($13) to start. These come with minced pork and are tightly packed. We also ordered the Green Curry Chicken ($21) which comes with rice. This was a huge dish. Flavours were a bit sweet but tasty. Speaking of huge dishes, the Pad Thai with Prawns ($21 + $2) was a literal mountain of noodles.

We also ordered the Chicken Satay ($15) as an appy but it took quite a while to come out (we were almost finished eating when it came out). I found the chicken satay to be quite dry and tough to eat. The main dishes were better than the appies

Also got some drinks on the form of Thai Cream Soda ($7) green and Passion Iced Tea ($7).

Next time we visit, we'd like to try some Laotian dishes.

I’ve ordered Naka about 3 times and dined in once. Amazing experience inside, the staff were above and beyond and helpful with the menu. Super busy all times I’ve picked up. The pad see ew, salad rolls and or gai have been consistently good! Must try in Langley!!!

Feed yourself before you go

First of all I wanna clarify that the food portion is reasonable BUT your first dish will come after half an hour, that the restaurant is not busy at all (50% empty table). I stayed a bit to observe the other customers - some customers asked server when the food would come; some customers finished their drinks and food were still not here when we left (I timed, it’s like 20mins after they sat down)

Unsatisfactory service - which I would say no service at all? I’m not sure, you let me know:
1. They just placed the water bottle and stack of cups on your table - please fill the cups yourself
2. No one follow up your orders while you are waiting for 30mins, not until you ask
3. The server put the big bowl hot soup at the CONERN of the table (aisle side) even we moved the dishes to empty some space (wall side) for the big bowl - please move the big bowl of hot soup yourself, I won’t move it unless you request (obviously I requested)
4. When I ordered, I said Tom Yum Goong first but it came last :D - I don’t care customer need

Well you tell me what kind of service level it is :) maybe I’m too picky? I would say food is okay but I don’t think it’s authentic at all.

A wonderful find. Everything we tried was delicious! Lots of gluten-free options for my gluten sensitive daughter. And, the staff were warm, helpful, + personable. Highest recommend! We will definitely come again
