Every time I ordered it’s come with issues or completely incorrect. They don’t seem to know what’s on their own menu and they don’t seem to have any standardized spice levels so medium and mild are the same but spicy is mouth burning spicy or so spicy it’s inedible.
Just had to shower, we picked up several items for today’s supper… They were all extremely outstanding. My partner lived in Thailand for many many years, and in the three years we’ve been back he’s been hunting for authentic Thai. Finally, found Tom Yum soup and Tom Kai soup just like he used to have. All our other entrées were authentic, delicious, fresh, massive portions, definitely recommend, and will certainly order again.
Such a bad experience. Ordered for pick up prepaid. When we picked up, half the order was missing and we saw we had the wrong rice. We ordered coconut not steamed. The woman at the front took off her mask, grabbed the rice from our bag, opened it and brought it to her nose to sniff. When she went to grab another one we said no. Based on the reviews, Ban Chok Dee Thai Cuisine offers great and consistent food at both the Langley and Maple Ridge locations. The curries tasted good, and the 5 spices fish is to die for. The food is made fresh with generous portions, and everyone enjoyed their meals very much. However, there are complaints about specific items. The red Thai curry was bland and unflavored with barely any chicken, and at $26 it is not worth it. The calamari was extremely disappointing, with a small box that was not even full, described as probably 1 cup worth of food for $18.75, which is absolutely unacceptable. A Thai ice tea at $10 is outrageous. Service varies by location. Service at Maple Ridge is better, with excellent service from Gavin who showed utmost professionalism even when short staffed. Another server knew the menu well for vegetarians and offered to replace oyster sauce. The restaurant is dark inside for atmosphere.
