Only a couple restaurants in McBride, and on a busy sledding weekend this place fills up fast. As with many businesses up here this restaurant is hurting for personnel and their cook was not working on this Friday, so the bar staff were also operating the kitchen? They limited the menu and were not cooking steaks, so we all had pizzas. Their personal pizzas are huge, and could have been shared easily btwn 2. The Fish & Chips and Steak Sandwich were delicious!! Even the tartar sauce and coleslaw were very tasty. The minestrone soup was hearty. Great atmosphere. Friendly service. The steak sandwich dish was a little pricey for the portion size but it was worth paying considering it's a small town pub. Will definitely stop there again!

Right. This is a proper pub. Good local brew beer on tap. Food is good. Had the burgers. Burger patties could be better, bit overcooked. Buns and aoili spot on, fries great. Absolutely coming back and looking forward to trying other menu items.
