Im a big soup person , and The Penny has THE BEST soup ! I had the veggie minestrone and it was the best soup I've had in my life. honestly, watch out olive garden... you got some serious competition! very friendly service as well ! and with a great price is always a plus. 11/10 would recommend 👌
Casual comfy place to have a great cup of coffee
Best coffee bar none! Of course it’s Smoking House coffee they serve, and it’s oh so good. Their staff is always friendly and I love their chickpea salad. Not to mention their design is cool as copper ;-)

The Penny is a lovely coffee shop with a peaceful patio, friendly staff, and good drip coffee. It has a unique aesthetic that creates a relaxing aura, making it a wonderful place to hang out. This café seems to have a pleasant and welcoming environment, with a nice casual setup that includes plenty of tables and a few easy chairs, as well as outdoor seating. The lattes, including the Penny pincher latte, and Americano are decent, and the Turkey & Cranberry Panini has received positive feedback. The Nanaimo Bar is good and less sweet than most other places, while the tasty vegan brownie and vegan wrap are highlights for those seeking plant-based options. The cozy atmosphere and kid-friendly options, along with tasty treats like homemade carrot cake, muffins, and Vegan Brownies, make it a great spot for all. With a few improvements to their drink recipes, and perhaps extended hours in the future, this charming café could easily become a favorite for everyone.
