We showed up quite late. They still served us. Service was amazing and the food was great. No complaints at all. Will be back!

This place does not deserve its rating. I guess it has a lot of very loyal customers. Good for them, but don’t come here if you like good food. I’m a local and disapprove of this restaurant.

Love the dinner for two, been getting it for years. Love how tasty it is and all the veges in the chop suey.

Amanda’s has been a Nelson institution for many years, just across the Big Red Bridge (BOB.) They recently moved into the downtown area which makes them much more accessible.
Although the menu is typically Canadian Chinese with both western and Asian dishes, the food is always good quality and relatively oil and msg free.
If you like lots of fresh vegetables and a variety of protein try the House Special Chop Suey.

Our favorite place in Nelson. Coming every year from Spokane, WA and never were disappointed. Thank you for the delicious food always!

Love Amanda's!

Good food decent service, what else is there to say, would definitely recommend. Personally prefer the Chinese food but the other options are decent too and a hefty selection as well, a little something for everyone.

The Wor Won Ton soup is one of the most flavourful we've ever had. The dry garlic pork was delightful as it was very lightly coated and extra garlicky. Those dishes stand out but everything was delicious. For dessert you have to try the chocolate mousse cheesecake no matter what your spouse says?. Reasonable prices & very good service.

Was visiting friends in the area and I decided on one night out with them before heading back to AB. Was my friends suggestion to come here. No disappointments whatsoever. Food was great, service was excellent. Would highly recommend!!

I decided to give Amanda’s a try with a coworker one day and to say I was blown away by the quality of the food and outstanding service is an understatement. I would recommend Amanda’s to anyone who loves quality Chinese food that is fresh and hits the spot.

Attentive service. Bright dining area, important for moutainous Nelson, with a long side of window. Pretty patio.

I was served a bbq pork fried rice that had no taste of bbq pork and whose tiny pieces of pork could be found only with a magnifying glass. The rice was heavy.and greasy.

We ordered delivery and had a great experience. Would I, being from LA, have expected that the best milkshake on earth is from a Chinese restaurant in small town Canada? Nope! But the best milkshake on earth is from a Chinese restaurant in small town Canada. Food’s great too.
