The only reason im not giving it 5 stars was because I ordered the brisket mac n cheese (which was INCREDIBLE) but I had a very hard time eating it because its served in this small shallow dish. Every time I went to cut the brisket or take a bite it felt like I was knocking my food onto the table. The service was just okay, nothing remarkable or memorable, but the food makes up for it.

Had a great burger here. perfect size and packed full of flavour. came with crispy fries. staff were friendly and attentive. cocktails also good. I would recommend this place for a dinner while in town.

The patio is the perfect hangout for the warm summer days! this place had the best chicken and waffles I've ever had (don't forget this cinnamon butter). Hip hop brunch was a hit!
On our second visit I had the beef carpaccio and it was good! But I was disappointed with the corn bread being really salty but that was the only thing my group disliked. The staff members are super cheerful and friendly. 100% a place I will be recommending to anyone I know coming to Nelson!

usually don’t leave reviews and honestly, I wasn’t planning to after our visit. The drink was bad, but I didn’t think it was that big of a deal until I saw the owner’s response to my boyfriend’s review.
We came in for drinks and I ordered a paralyzer. It came out completely curdled. I know it can be a tricky drink to make, but if I’m paying for something I appreciate it is made correctly. I said, “Hey, sorry, but this came out curdled,” and the server told me, “Yeah, it’s supposed to do that.” That’s just not true. I was told if I ordered another it would come the same or I could get something different. I declined a replacement and left it at that. The drink was taken off the bill, which I appreciated, but the interaction felt cold and dismissive, no apology, just attitude.
What really bothers me is was the owner’s public reply. Instead of handling the feedback professionally, he got defensive, minimized the situation, and called it a “nothing burger.” I looked at other reviews and responses and saw a pattern he regularly mocks customers, and does not acknowledge the experience.
A review isn’t an attack it’s just feedback based on someone’s experience. If the response to criticism is to insult the customer, it says a lot more about the business than the review ever could.

We visited Broken Hill today and had a fabulous lunch. Be sure to check out the Dirty Bird and the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich. Both are fantastic!

I visited in July and had the Slam Dunk burger. Very first bite, and I knew I was tasting the best burger ever. Today, I impulsively drove 3 hours from Sagle Idaho to have the burger again. It wasn't being served!!! I was really bummed but rallied and ordered the recommended queso birria burger. It was really good. Hot and fresh, good quality meat. I still wish the Slam Dunk was available, but maybe next time. My travel buddy had the Hot Mess brisket sandwich, and loved it. I will definitely be going back.
