Food was good. Service definitely took quite a while, but I think I arrived at a bad time. I dislike when places ask you to pay and tip before receiving your meal. It goes against the purpose of tipping as an indicator of good service. Tips need to either be afterwards, or you need to be a place that doesn’t accept tips and just pays your staff well enough without.
Best sushi in Nelson hands down ! Don't even bother anywhere else if you want great sushi.

Absolutely phenomenal Japanese food. From living in Japan for more than five years, I would say the dishes served at Kurama are, hands down, the best around. Absolutely fantastic and fresh nigiri; the tuna, hamachi, and salmon are especially delicious. Their Kurama rice is awesome and their miso burgers for Burger Month are incredibly unique and tasty.
