Ate here at around 4pm today, ordered and paid for 2 items and upon being called for my order I only received one item. When I told them I had 2 orders, the staff tactlessly insisted that I didn't pay for the second order.
To be clear, I am not frustrated that I didn't receive my 2nd order right away, but what got me frustrated was the tone of the staff's voice saying that I didn't pay for something that I know and have proof of payment. He even said that their system glitches from time to time, so with them knowing that, they could have just simply asked for my proof of payment rather than outrightly saying that I didn't pay for it.
And when I tried to communicate my frustration from that, one of the staff backed the other staff up and turned the blame on me, saying that I should be nice because he knows that I also work in the hospitality industry, he also sarcastically added that he could have just given me the missed order for free. Wherein I didn't mind waiting for the second order and if there was just a technical glitch on their system, I would have totally understood that and happily waited for it. But with how they approached the situation, it felt like they were not trying to understand where I was coming from at all but rather be defensive of a minor problem.
All I wanted was to be heard that that is not how you communicate with a customer most especially if the wrong was on their part. This situation could have been simply avoided and not have it escalate if only the situation was approached professionally.
I wasn't sure what I wanted or knew how to order. The owner, I assume, started asking me questions:
Rice or noodles?
Brown or white?
Thin or fat
Next thing I had two to go meals.
I ate the noodles first and it was so delicious 😋.
The food is good, but they never have sushi even though it's a sushi restaurant. Over all 4/10
Disappointing. I was charged nearly twenty dollars for this DOUBLE chicken yakisoba. Barely filled the bowl, including mushrooms. Consisted of almost nothing. A fan of Edo Japan, will not be returning.

Great food and staffBe nice if they were open when they say they are open. Been there every evening this week to get food while in the mall and all tables are stacked up lights on and no staff anywhere...Never had bad experience till this week and will be changing my rating if this continues to happen

This was the singular worst experience I have had while ordering the food in Canada. Due to my religious belief I asked person making my food to use different utensil to make my Chicken rice bowl as I do not eat beef. I understand if sometimes it's not possible for the businesses to accomodate this request, but I always feel it is good to ask. However, not only I was told NO in the most rude and impolite way possible, the cashier even said; "This is Canada Bro" to that I replied "thanks for reminding me"I am at a loss of the words on how to respond to such a comment and don't know where else to take this but felt I should share my experience.
The Vietnamese guy who took my order make face on me probably because I don’t like veggies or any mushrooms on my order.. while watching the guy who cook my order, The Vietnamese guy came and see the portion of my order I think he check it if its lot or what as I dont like veggies and he told to the cook to reduce the meat on my order.
Today at around 2pm I visited this location, and the older Asian man on the grill took it upon himself to throw my order ticket out because he "didn't take the order himself". The other two employees did correct this and make my food for me nearly half an hour later after they realized what this guy had done, after several other customers had been served. They did apologize and briefly try to reason with this guy, so props to them, but clearly he either needs some serious retraining or to be let go as he is obviously not a good fit for this job.

Good food for a reasonable price. Staff is friendly and efficient.
Best Edo I have ever been to. Always a favorite lunch stop.
Just amazing I really give it to them they are hard workers. I came in as they were closing and placed a large order they didn't have to serve me but they did. they couldn't be anymore amazing thanks to all the staff.
I eat here a lot, the staff is always happy to see me and always great at there jobs. 100% recommend! Food is always great!
Found the food good and the staff very helpful. My wife ordered the chicken Teriyaki without broccoli and asked for extra cabbage and this was the first Edo that did not charge her for the extra cabbage.
