The coffee leaves a lot to be desired, it’s too weak; however the muffin was one of the best I ever had !! Had cranberries, fresh carrot, apples …..it was delicious

Horrible service and very rude
Quaint establishment in a vacation atmosphere. Both of our meals were very tasty.

Last time I was there I got a breakfast sandwich that must have been 3 days old. Was nasty.

Service was very slow, food was mediocre, coffee was disappointing. Yet still very expensive. As is almost everything in nelson.
It appears like the owner has been attacking reviewers as well. So this 1 started review absolutely will stay.

After reading the reviews I felt I should add my experience. I also had a terrible coffee and a breakfast sandwich with burnt eggs the last time I was there, albeit several months ago.
Now, however, I also see the owner has been trying to pass off legitimate criticism as fake and even attacking people ad hominem. It's honestly less effort to just listen and try to do better. The economy is tough, but your business struggles are your responsibility, and it's shameful how you are treating your customers to try to save margins and face.

Came in about 3 weeks ago, more than hall the menu was unavailable, and all the surfaces were either dirty, or very dusty. The " white boards" behind the counter were pretty nasty looking. We got 2 hot drinks, a latte and a mocha. Went to sit in their "lobby" and was immediatley turned off, dirty and dusty. Huge gouges in their drywall and the tables and chairs were wobbly and in terrible condition. I remember when this placed open, it has gone way down hill. We ended up drinking our coffees in out truck.

So after driving for 4 hours, picking ip groceries at Save-on needed coffee and muffin. First of all asked for decaf latte, didn't have decaf, I said ok non decaf then he made regular coffee, not latte ?. Asked if he could have heated and a to go butter pad, he said no butter, I asked margerine, said he has. He goes into the room beside and comes out with enuf to put on 10 muffins in a half cup container. Ok, get to truck and spread on muffin, turned out it was mayo. All in all bad experience, coffee was not good either.
My iced americano was really bad, I honestly couldn’t drink it. The server was pleasant tho, and I had an iced chai the other day that I really enjoyed. If I go back I’ll probably be sticking to chai

I bought an Americano to go this morning, paid by tap, added an 18% tip but I didn't pay attention to the total. I now see that my cc was charged $7.14. It's not a big deal, it's a lesson learned. But obviously I won't be stopping at the Java Hut anymore.
This is where I direct folks if they are craving a rich brownie.
Wheelchair accessibility: This is located in theChaka-mika mall.

used to go all the time for bubble tea and it was always fantastic. lately though when I've gotten it there's still powder in the bottom plus no ice. bubble tea is suposed to be slushy, bur all I'm getting is poorly mixed liquid.
I went this locally owned coffe shop to meet my cousin first time in pasf 10-years. Coffee and muffin was good. I would suggest this place to my friends.
Love their home style soups. This place has been my go to coffee place in the mall. Love it.
