We visited here solely for the burger of the month: The MILF (Meatloaf I Love to Finish); as part of Nelson's Burger Month, The Vienna Café offered a spicy, smoked meatloaf burger layered with thick crispy bacon, blistered kale, crispy squash, then dressed with tea-smoked onion and apple dijon, wild mushroom aioli, and a spiced marinara topping, all served in a custom black salt brioche. The burger itself was incredible, and I think in part due to the combination of incredible sauces; the strong tea-smoked onion and apple dijon, the rich wild mushroom aioli, and the gently Spiced marinara topping all came together to what was one of the greatest sauce combinations on a burger that I have ever tried; it complimented the meatloaf, bacon, and blistered kale perfectly. The staff are incredible here, they are so warm, friendly, and inviting; such a cute place to come for a meal. I appreciated how communicative and social they are as I'm new in town, they go above and beyond for their customers. The general atmosphere is interesting, as it is seemingly part of an old vinyl and book shop - a pretty unique place with a pretty unique burger this November.

Really yummy, cool that it is attached to a tiny bookstore. They were super busy so it was nice to look around while we waited. The waitresses were very nice and good at what they do.. however their ‘shirts’ were pretty revealing and not what I’d expect from a cafe environment.. more like going to a club—halter tops and bralettes as shirts. But again, they were sweet and provided great customer service. Just not appropriately dressed.

One girl looking after all tables meant very slow service. The eggs benny were cooked to rubber. The scrambled eggs were tasteless but obviously free range by the colour.

Like my 2nd home or kitchen. Love the atmosphere. Food is excellent. People- wait staff and customers - always friendly. Laid back atmosphere, no pressure.

Great vibe! This is the Nelson I remember from the 80s. Before the glitz. Delicious and creative benny specials. Busy and rightly so.

Athena Crepe: seriously very very soggy. Undercooked crepe, overcooked vegs.Grilled Cheese Sandwich: cheese was grilled in the pan 1st and then the cheese sandwich placed on that grilled cheese and the microwaved. Seriously soggy grilled cheese sandwich. The cooking staff today missed on all points.
