“This restaurant is a hidden gem in Nelson, BC and serves amazing Taiwanese-style vegetarian food; the meals even taste better than most vegetarian restaurants in Metro Vancouver. My friends are not vegetarians but they did enjoy their meals. The Pot-Stickers and Chow-Mein are the must-try. We will be back soon.“

“Had Brunch today. I tried the eggs Benny and my husband had the breakfast poutine. Today was the first time I have ever tried egg Benny and it was fantastic. I'm super picky about eggs and they were cooked perfectly. Thanks for a delicious meal. My husband also enjoyed his meal.“

Origins start with Helsinki native Katri Skogster who after travelled through Nelson and Kootenays wished to open her dream restaurant in this stunning backdrop. Looking to fuse the beauty of Europe’s cuisine together with the healing elements of garlic, the Outer Clove Restaurant was born in the 1990’s. A locally loved rendezvous and travels delight the Outer Clove thrived for 18 years before changing hands in 2015 with Tomas Gabriel who wishes to keep the same charm and delicious dishes from his Truly always a favourite when I lived in the Kootenays and our new favourite when coming to Nelson.
