Saw the 4.3 rating and decided to give this place a try. I was planning to go to Piva for my birthday, but they were hosting a private party, so we had to find another Italian restaurant last minute. When we arrived, we were the only customers, which already felt like a warning sign.
The menu was quite one dimensional, and the food photos didn’t inspire much confidence, several dishes looked like basic spring mix and very generic, almost Costco level Alfredo pasta. This did not feel like an authentic Italian restaurant at all. I ordered the squid ink vongole, but was told they were out of squid ink pasta and asked if I could substitute regular pasta. Five minutes later, they came back and said they could make it after all, which somehow made the situation even more confusing.
The dish itself was a letdown. The pasta was overly salty and undercooked, and the clams were rubbery. Don’t worry about portion size, you won’t be needing to eat much of it anyway.
To make matters worse, my wife noticed a cigarette smell coming from both the kitchen and the restroom, which really killed whatever appetite was left. At that point, the only bright spot of the evening was the water, and even that felt like setting the bar low.
Overall, the entire experience was underwhelming and disappointing, and it made me suspect there may have been a change in ownership, because this does not align with what the restaurant may have been known for before. I also noticed a number of glowing reviews from accounts with little to no prior history, which raised some eyebrows.
Sadly, this was not how I wanted to spend a birthday dinner, and we won’t be returning.

This is one of the finest meals I’ve eaten in ages. Burrata, focaccias, pesto, noodles, & sauces all made in house in a traditional Italian style. My companion and I had:
BRUSCHETTA & PASSATA - the burrata here had a wonderful texture and didn't get all runny when cut open. This tasted fresh and crisp and cool. Felt like inhaling Spring as the snow is melting away.
PACCHERI PICCANTI - substituted rigatoni as they were out of paccheri pasta. The rose sauce was perfectly spiced and nothing beats well made fresh noodles.
TAGLIATELLE PRIMAVERA - nicely salted by the prosciutto crudo with a delicate sauce and tasty house made spinach noodles that were only slightly too thick. Still perfectly made and with the bite only fresh pasta can provide.
Maria provided wonderful service and made us feel right at home.
A perfect meal.

Our party of 4 came to dine here on a Saturday evening and it wasn't busy, so we managed to get a table quite easily. There are a lot of options on the menu so there's something for everyone. We ordered the bruschetta which was delicious. I told the waitress to put the pesto on the side since it was made with pine nuts, but the chef made a pesto without nuts so I could have it. The staff was also very flexible with our party's request, such as adding more variety of vegetables to our salads and one of the pasta dishes. They also made us some fresh fries which wasn't even on the dinner menu. The mains were satisfying and a good portion size. I would highly recommend the Orecchiette pasta. Such a nice place for a small party.

Went in to try their new brunch menu. There are a lot of options. I went with their Artusia breakfast pizza and a cappuccino. The food quality was well above average and the prices are very reasonable. Staff are friendly. I will definitely be going back as it is hard to find comparable quality for this price.

Went to try out the black Friday special for brunch.
Ordered eggs Benedict and unfortunately my hollandaise sauce was cold upon arrival. The burger we ordered the bun was not toasted/warm.
I understand it was a busy weekend however I felt like since it was to attract returning customers the restaurant should have been more prepared.
I felt like the brunch menu should include some basic drinks like hot chocolate. As well some Italian food since it is an Italian restaurant. Maybe a simple pasta?

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Artusi in New Westminster, and I have to say, it was an amazing experience from start to finish! The service was exceptional – our waitress Valeria was so friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.

Under the new owners, the quality of the food has truly elevated — they have perfectly captured and even duplicated the authentic flavours of real Italian cuisine. Every dish tasted fresh, rich, and full of that traditional Italian soul.

The food was certainly good. We came for my dad’s birthday, and they recognized it well and treated our group very well.
Appetizers were tasty, well portioned, very well cooked.
Dinners were the same, and we all enjoyed our food.
Gabriella was friendly and attentive, knowledgeable and we appreciate her very good service.
This was our first time, and we will be back.
