“I was down the street finishing up some recycling at the depot and suddenly noticed a small group of local workers queued up at this hole in the wall. And when I say hole in the wall, it's the cutest little shop I've seen on the north shore. I glanced at their sandwiches and one of them could tell I was hesitant and suggested I order the cheesesteak. The Japanese woman was super friendly and I could tell this was going to be better than average. Well, the sandwich was delicious. Probably the best melted cheese sandwich I've had in North Vancouver. As for overall sandwiches on the north shore, I'd rank this place just behind Dip Co. in Deep Cove and tied for second with Puccini's on Lonsdale (or slightly ahead of Puccini's if you include quality of service). I'll be going back this week for the chicken pesto sandwich and then eventually try their small selection of Japanese food which I hear is great, too. I'm so glad I stumbled onto this hidden gem.“

“We ordered catering from Suzette’s Deli for a family event. It was quite a large order - several platters of sandwiches, veggies, fruit, and desserts. Everything was made so fresh and arranged beautifully! The sandwiches were generously packed with colourful and flavourful fillings. The fruit was ripe and delicious, the veggies were crisp and a there was plentiful variety provided. Everyone enjoyed the tasty desserts, especially the cookies and brownies. Joy was not only prompt in her responses through email, but also so kind and generous with her service and the excellent quality of goods she provided. “I originally ordered duck liver and duck collarbone, but somehow the lady at the counter ended up giving me duck gizzards instead. The gizzards were a bit on the tough side — not exactly what I was expecting. As for the duck collarbone, it had a nice balance between soft and firm, and there was just the right touch of spiciness to keep things interesting. I was a little disappointed about the mix-up, but overall, the flavor was still pretty satisfying.“

“This Safeway has a decent sized parking lot. The aisles are stocked fully as well as being clean. They have a nice cooked food section and you can create your own sandwich here. They seem to take part in festivities, as the store has nice decorations depending on the season.“
