“I’ve been far and wide, coast to coast, and for the West Coast this is hands down the best poutine you can find. The fries are golden, crispy, and homemade — straight cut with just the right thickness. The cheese curds? Easily the best I’ve ever had anywhere west of Quebec. The steamy dog all dressed is a true classic, and hard to come by out here, but this is the place to get it if you’ve been craving that authentic bite. Bravo. I’ll definitely be back. 10/10.“

“I’ve been meaning to do this for the last month and I have finally gotten around to it. Every Saturday we go for lunch at White Spot and we have been greeted by a host named Emma. (We finally found her name out last week) she seems to really love her job and goes out of her way to make us feel very welcome, chatting and joking with us while she gets us a booth. Always with a smile on her face, hair, neatly done and those nails! My daughter looks forward to every Saturday when she gets to see what colour or design is on her nails. The servers are excellent, regardless of which one you get. (Sorry, don’t know your names) very attentive, polite and know their job well. When it’s busy, the servers and the greeters work together to make sure we are not waiting long. The food is always consistent, but what set them apart is the people. They have a great team there, from the moment you walk in to the time you leave, you feel like you are appreciated. Would recommend this to anyone who thinks atmosphere is an important part of the dining experience.“

“We haven't been to White Spot in a while but we were nearby and wanted breakfast. I had the tomato and spinach Bennie and my partner had the Denver omelet. Both were tasty. Did you know that the hash browns are bottomless? Lived here our entire lifetime and was never told this. So let's talk about our server ... Olivia was absolutely delightful. She was polite and kind. She stopped in often to check in for coffee and hashbrown refills (btw who told us about the refills on the taters!!). She was easy to talk to without any kind of pressure. We even laughed over a story about Dave Matthews Band! The overall experience was positive and our interaction with Olivia alone would bring us back.“

“There's been a power outage in parts of BC for over 10 hours today (some 200k+ without power). Understandably, when we got to the White Spot, Kensington Square, there was a crowd of folk looking to get a meal. Under these circumstances, the service was as good as could be expected. Emma, our server, was a delight. She kept checking in us even though she had so many tables to manage. Christine, the AGM was brilliant! Calm, welcoming, beautiful warm smile that let us know she had everything under control and we'd be seated as soon as was possible. Jeferson (one f) the GM was dealing with everything else to ensure things went smoothly, and still had time to offer us a free dessert because our meal had been delayed.“

“The fish and coldslaw were delicious. The homemade tartar sauce to die for. We phoned ahead and had our order for pick up. Our only complaint was for the first time ever our order had such a small portion of fries :( Normally the fries are abundant. Still over all quality, staff, and promptness were great. Komal double-checked ingredients we had questions about and even gave us recommendations for other safe places to eat. Knowing that she is also celiac herself made us feel extra comfortable, and she was so accommodating and kind. She truly made my daughter (and us!) feel safe and cared for while dining here.
