The food is ok, but the male clerk at the counter could really improve his service. But in the other way, as a Taiwanese myself, it somewhat resembles authentic local Taiwanese service.

Excellent food, but dine in is not for those with claustrophobia. While eating dine in is the way to get the best taste, small quarters means a renovation to make the available space seem bigger would be greatly appreciated.

I had the fried chicken nuggets and the beef and onion main course and I was really satisfied to the point I ate it till all the plates were clean.

The bill is paid before cooking so dine in seems like an afterthought, thus service is so-so.

Would recommend for comfort food.

Tried it first time and I was in love with it. Authentic Taiwanese bento in New West. Even side dishes were amazing as well. I’ll definitely take skytrain here just for the bentos

Visited this boutique Taiwanese restaurant in June 2024. The menu is a highlight of Taiwanese cuisine, with a lot of signature dishes of local Taiwan food.

The dining area is a bit small, with about 10 to 12 seats.

Food was served in a very delicate manner, with a lot of side dishes. The fried chicken we had was nice and beef noodle was very close to what we had in Taipei.

Overall a lovely night and we will go again soon.

I absolutely love this Taiwanese restaurant. The oyster pancakes are a standout dish, perfectly crispy and flavorful. The prices are very reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of food. Additionally, their other offerings are equally delicious, making it well worth a visit.

I just moved to the area and decided to try this place. I got the fried chicken cutlet rice bento, and it was SO delicious! The bento was served with a few slices of Taiwanese sausage, cabbage, and some minced pork sauce over the rice. I’m looking forward to trying their oyster omelette (one of my favourite Taiwanese snacks)!

Comfort taiwan food. Its a order first at counter and pay first before taking a seat. Good is good. It can take a little time as the boss is the chef and it does take time to serve. But food is pipping hot when it arrives.

Parking: Very limited spot in the lot, but plenty of street parking within q to 2 blocks

Unpretentious Chinese restaurant with authentic Asian/Taiwanese cuisine... most dishes come in a set. Menu is limited but flavours are very good. Set comes with main dish, rice & 2 slide dishes. It is a family run restaurant, the guy manning the front & serving the water. The place is clean & with a few tables onsite.Paid Parking on the street available, there's no parking at the restaurant as it is located in a very small premise opposite Nee Westminster Douglas College.Food is simple but great, highly recommend!Check it out

I was in the New West neighbourhood this evening and found this restaurant was highly rated. I checked the photos online and the “quality” looked legit, so I decided to give it a try. When I arrived at the foyer of the restaurant, the cashier or counter was right there. I looked at someone who worked there. He was very familiar to me! I recognized he was the one who worked at an old Taiwanese restaurant on Imperial Street in Burnaby super long time ago that I used to go for Taiwanese food. Then I asked this person at the counter and confirmed he and his team ran the Taiwanese restaurant in Burnaby back in the day. Wow what a small world I finally found their Taiwanese restaurant in New West!I ordered a few dishes (see attached photos). The chicken nuggets, chicken cutlet bento and oyster pancakes were very delicious and they were traditional Taiwanese food that I used to have.I would like to go back and try their beef noodles in soup and some other dishes next time. ??Their copy on the windows of the restaurant said “the best Taiwanese comfort food”. I totally agreed!!
