I was in the New West neighbourhood this evening and found this restaurant was highly rated. I checked the photos online and the “quality” looked legit, so I decided to give it a try. When I arrived at the foyer of the restaurant, the cashier or counter was right there. I looked at someone who worked there. He was very familiar to me! I recognized he was the one who worked at an old Taiwanese restaurant on Imperial Street in Burnaby super long time ago that I used to go for Taiwanese food. Then I asked this person at the counter and confirmed he and his team ran the Taiwanese restaurant in Burnaby back in the day. Wow what a small world I finally found their Taiwanese restaurant in New West!I ordered a few dishes (see attached photos). The chicken nuggets, chicken cutlet bento and oyster pancakes were very delicious and they were traditional Taiwanese food that I used to have.I would like to go back and try their beef noodles in soup and some other dishes next time. ??Their copy on the windows of the restaurant said “the best Taiwanese comfort food”. I totally agreed!!

I'm obsessed with the eggplant and ground pork, and just tried the bean curd last night. I love this place. STRONGLY recommend!

So authentic and yummy. I could tell by the small menu and cozy decor that the food would be homey. As a Taiwanese, this felt super close to what I’d get in Taiwan. The food is flavourful but not greasy - especially the beef noodle soup. The noodles were chewy and bouncy, the broth was not greasy and there was a good portion of beef. I would have liked more veggie with it but no worries. The other lunch bentos were good too, all three of us Taiwanese enjoyed. The peach oolong tea was good and didn’t taste artificial. They didn’t have toppings today sadly. A small restaurant with artwork that reminded me of Taiwan. Looking forward to coming again!

Finally get to try this place ! Can't believe it right by new West station which I pass by every day? definitely hidden gem . I did noticed the price spike extra $2 (the main menu is mostly $16-17 now except Taiwan meat sauce $8)(But if order by phone takeout is 10% off)Unfortunately I had to I get beef noodle to go due to loud construction right outisde (there's seating area inside available)As for the beef noodle I can just say it ok? for $16 it's doable , enough meat noodle is alright (great for student next street over tho very convenient!) Maybe because I tried redBeef and other noodle place , but for location it is 5 stars for sure !

Comforting, home-style Taiwanese food. Main dishes come with 3 sides (typically healthy vegetable dishes) and rice, as well as a hot cup of tea. Food was fresh and delicious.

One of my favorite places to grab food in New Westminster. Braised pork rib is delicious and their fried chicken nuggets are great.
Finally tried Rong Rong Tea House, a family run Taiwanese spot. The inside has a total of 13 seats. Order and pay when you walk in.- Beef noodle soup ($14.00) - broth was well rounded. Beef tender yet meaty. Good portion of noodles but wanted a firmer bite.- Dong po pork ($15.00) - all the side dishes were solid. Pork belly was decent but fatty and oily. Liked the lightly pickled cucumber.Rong Rong had some simple, comforting Taiwanese dishes. 3.5 stars.

Very good meal and affordable. Recommended scallion oil chicken rice
I like Rong Rong’s boutique cafe vibe. I had a pork dish which was tender and juicy, and served with rice and three side dishes. I also ordered warm Oolong Tea. Will definitely go back.

A solid Taiwanese place with a small menu but some very delicious bento-styled meals! The portion sizes are quite generous, and honestly one of the best asian food places around the area! I highly recommend their Dong Po pork bento box :)
