Edit. Place has gone downhill. It's a shame. My beer had dandruff and the food was almost warm but mostly cold.

We had high hopes for this restaurant. It turns out very disappointing.
Ordered 3 things from the menu. All foods were warm, you can tell it is not freshly cooked. We even suspect they microwaved some of the food of our order because both side dish sauerkrauts and potatoes were lukewarm. I never had any sauerkrauts in lukewarm temperature.. not in Germany, not in Europe not in Canada. Potatoes weren’t cooked with enough butter or at least the skin of the potatoes weren’t crispy. Very disappointing. Other side dishes like veggies, it’s room temperature. One of the main dish, deep fried pork chop i remember… it’s room temperature as well. Taste wise… nothing special.
As a Bavarian restaurant, at least the beer has to be good. Disappointingly, beer wasn’t cold. Only the beer mug was cold but not the beer itself.
The only positive thing about the food is the lamb. As that’s the only thing we think it’s freshly cooked, but somehow still lukewarm temperature.
It’s so disappointing. The server asked us how’s the food, we answered “it’s ok’ because we already know that we won’t come back. Interestingly, the server responded” it’s good?’ like she was trying to force us to agree with her or she didn’t get the meaning of OK.
In general, you can skip this restaurant to save some money.

Arrive at 5:30pm when the restaurant advertises that it opens at 4pm. Walked into the restaurant and it was dead silent. No music, no people, no sound in general. Waited a few minutes and then rang the bell… still no one showed up. Waited another few minutes and finally someone showed up. She sat us in the darkest room possible. She didn’t ask the friendly things such as how our days been, if we are celebrating anything and so on. Just sat us and left. Another 10 minutes goes by before she comes back to ask for our drink orders. We ordered some sodas and again she left. Waited another 10 minutes for the drinks. Again not one other customer, still no music or the sound of workers. Finally she comes back and asks if we could wait another 10-15 minutes since the server still has not arrived for their shift. For one, the restaurant opened an hour and a half prior to our arrival… why was their no server on and second, she couldn’t just take our order? I assume she must have been a manager since she was the only one there it seemed… she couldn’t just write our orders down herself. Well we were done at this point with all the waiting and left. It was a complete joke. This restaurant needs to go. It was going downhill before the new owners and now the new owners have just completely ruined the place. No more German authenticity. No more German workers. It’s a joke. If you want good German cuisine go to New west’s Tannenbaum… it’s the original owner of the Bavarian haus. We will NEVER be going back.

Very impressed with the overall service. Authentic food and very cleanliness. The staff is very friendly. Their roof top patio is a perfect place to enjoy in summer.

I recently had a wonderful dining experience at The Old Bavaria Haus. The food was outstanding, with the Schnitzel and Goulash Soup standing out as particular highlights—both were flavorful and expertly prepared. My family and I recently went here for my birthday. The food was exactly what we wanted and the portions were good. My dad cleaned his plate! And the service was very good. We will be back.

It was a very disappointing experience. The soup was warm at best. The fresh baked bread that was apparently coming out of the oven was almost stale. There was a large amount of grease on my plate. Had the meals been good? The price would’ve been OK but the meals were not good. I’m not being overcritical. I’m just being honest. I’m sorry to say that when I pay $130 for a meal for four, it should be much better.

Extremely disappointed in every way possible. The appetizer was baked Camembert but was stone cold inside and solid. The servers kept disappearing inside a room and so could not ask for anything. The schnitzel was hot but soft and greasy and tasteless. We told our server the food was not good and he shrugged and said “okay “. Don’t even think of eating here - literally nowhere else you choose to eat could be worse.

I’ve quite place to enjoy some schnitzel! Classic place, feels like walking into a wormhole. Timeless

The meal was pretty bland. The schnitzel wasn't a golden brown, but more of a light tan colour (was it cooked, yes). Rouladen was extremely disappointing, actually the whole meal was. When a restaurant has to offer you salt and pepper for something that should be seasoned, that is usually an indication of what it would taste it may taste like, BLAND!. Would I recommend coming here? Absolutely not! For context this place was great, but I think ownership has changed and not for the better. Normally I take photos of the food, but I didn't want to relieve this memory.

Food is absolutely incredible as well as the service. Very warm, welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, one of our favourite places to eat
