Worst bar in New West, which is saying something. The bartender, Tara, is loud, rude, constantly swearing and yelling people and favours her friends over people she doesn’t know. She is always there and frankly she is simply a mean person. I see that my observations are reflected in other reviews too.

Be all you can be
I ordered two orders of fajitas and it was very disappointing. The chicken had a strange flavor and seemed like it was boiled to cook it instead of grilled, like you would expect fajitas to be. I ended up adding seasoning and grilling it at home on my own.

Food is better than expected, beer is beer, where this place truly excels is in service. Have had multiple great experiences with service. Friendly staff who aren't above sharing a laugh with customers. Atmosphere feels kinda dirty and generally unclean, but can look past it for the cheap food and great service

My favorite local watering hole. Angel makes a top notch Caesar. Daily deals like wings on Wednesday's. Authentic Mexican food (try the birria) courtesy of Jaqueline in the kitchen from Sunday-Tuesday (I believe). Bartender Tara is always a riot. $5 pints of PBR. Pool is like $1. What else do you want from your neighborhood dive bar?

I've been going to the Duck since moving to New Westminster twenty years ago. The specials are always great. And the service is better than average. I was a bit disappointed that the steak sandwich doesn't come with onion rings anymore, and it was a bit under seasoned and overcooked. But for 17 bucks, you can't go wrong.
Never would have guessed,but this is a place to get legit Mexican food. Like Mexico Mexican food. The Chorizo taco with a chicharones topping was excellent. And the have quessabirria! Also the hot sauce that came with it was actually spicy. The tacos are worth the price. They also have good tortilla soup!
Also they have regular pub food if that is your thing.
