Kinda going downhill recently, I wasn't too keen on our food this time.

I’ve been meaning to do this for the last month and I have finally gotten around to it. Every Saturday we go for lunch at White Spot and we have been greeted by a host named Emma. (We finally found her name out last week) she seems to really love her job and goes out of her way to make us feel very welcome, chatting and joking with us while she gets us a booth. Always with a smile on her face, hair, neatly done and those nails! My daughter looks forward to every Saturday when she gets to see what colour or design is on her nails. The servers are excellent, regardless of which one you get. (Sorry, don’t know your names) very attentive, polite and know their job well. When it’s busy, the servers and the greeters work together to make sure we are not waiting long. The food is always consistent, but what set them apart is the people. They have a great team there, from the moment you walk in to the time you leave, you feel like you are appreciated. Would recommend this to anyone who thinks atmosphere is an important part of the dining experience.

We had a lovely family dinner, and his warm smile and genuine gratitude made the experience even more special. He was friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. A big shoutout to Conner for making our evening so enjoyable! Such a positive personality he is!!

The food here was amazing, the drinks were refreshing, and the dessert was delicious! The ambience was perfect for a relaxing evening dinner!

Order a salad for my boyfriend and chicken wings for myself last night. Those chicken wings felt off, but I never had them before from here so I gave them a chance,after like an hour or two I puked it out. I thought it’s OK sometimes it’s a bad batch or things happen. Moved on
This morning doing my stuff I couldn’t stop that feeling of puking again every time the thought of those wings come to my mind so I decided that maybe I’ll go and talk to the manager about it . From the very moment I start talking to him. It felt like he doesn’t care what I’m saying. Kept on asking me if I’m here for a refund or I got a refund from Uber. I just kept telling him. I’m not here for a refund. I don’t care about a refund. I just want to tell you that it was a bad batch it looked weird and I felt sick. I was being very polite but the whole time he was just coming at me saying maybe I ate something else before or I should have taken a picture, my bad I’m sorry I’m not that kind of person who takes picture of every freaking thing she eats. And of course I wasn’t expecting it to make me sick or was looking to get a refund to take a picture of it at first place. Also, I’m very particular about what I eat and from where I eat I only freaking go to specific places!!! my last meal yesterday was at 4 PM that I made for myself and then those chicken wing were the only thing I ate at 10pm! All I wanted for him was to listen and say that we are sorry maybe something was wrong. We’ll make sure it never happened to anyone again cause nobody should be getting sick. But instead, he just keep talking as if they could never do anything wrong. I work in food industry too and trust me things happen orders get wrong, Sometimes food is undercooked or just a bad batch. It’s OK to accept it and apologize.

But the reason why I’m writing this review is The way he talk to me, Something in my gut told me that maybe it would have been a different conversation if I were a different skin colour. I left when I realized he doesn’t care. My brain took a few minutes to process what happened by the time I reached home, I had a little panic attack and I cried cause I’ve been living here for over a decade and this is the first time I I felt someone treated me different just cause of my colour. Well, he have ruined my day and I’m never stepping in at any white spot location ever.

My Mom and I go to this White Spot every week and we are never disappointed. The food is consistently good and special requests are always spot on (pardon the pun).

The service we received was top-notch, and most of the food was terrific. The one dish that was not great was quickly exchanged and the replacement was very good.
The location can be tricky, it's in a mall and we parked in the underground parade and walked through the shopping center. When we left the mall was closed, so we had to walk around the outside and down into the parkade, which was tricky with an elderly relative with a walker.
