Funky spot very close to the ferry. Flights of beer are large! A 4 beer flight feels like having 2 pints of beer. Beer was tasty overall and pretty easy drinking. Only one I didn’t like was the Arboreal IPA as, like the name suggests, it tastes like you’re drinking the forest. Not my style.
I want to start by saying this isn’t your father’s beer. This is a unique tasting experience that requires an open mimd (and palate).Gotta admit, I’ve never had beer made with spruce tips, chaga mushrooms or myrrh. We love Howl brewing and have done so since they opened. On the occasional Wednesday walk around the airport, we time it so we can stop in, try the latest creation and chat with the owner operator.I have to say if you are looking for the same drink every time you go, this isn't the place for you. The beers are small batches crafted with whatever ingredients are currently available, and often done in historically accurate style.
