Good sushi and good presentation of each plate. The problem is the caterpillar roll has too much sauce and the chairs are too tall for the table

We absolutely love Momiji Japanese Cuisine and keep coming back again and again. The food is always fresh, delicious, and consistently well-prepared, which makes it a very reliable spot for Japanese cuisine. Every visit feels enjoyable, whether it’s sushi or other dishes — everything tastes great. The staff are always friendly, welcoming, and attentive, creating a warm and comfortable atmosphere. It’s definitely one of our favorite places, and we highly recommend it!

Terrible customer service they are very rude and like to talk in their own language and maybe talk bad things about customers. I wouldn’t have gone here if I saw this review before I came so now I am gonna spread it more!

Used to be my favourite place until we found a worm in the sushi and the worst part was they did not want to admit it. The “chief/owner”insists it was radish from salad but first of all, if you are not supposed to use the same knife for salad and fish, what if people having allergies. And that “radish” was inside the fish meat, there was no way it’s coming from salad. What a bunch of liars and I am reporting to food health and safety Canada.

Just chose the closest sushi joint after exhausting ourselves at Seymour. Wasn’t expecting much but was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and taste of the sushi, sashimi, curry tonkatsu and beef udon. Everything was good.

One of the two closest Japanese restaurants near Seymour Mountain, so we stopped by after a full day of snow fun — family of six and very hungry.
We chose this place based on its 4.5-star rating, so our expectations were fairly high.
We ordered the lunch specials for the whole family.
The sushi and rolls were fresh and fairly good, no issues there.
However, the sunomono was the worst I’ve had at a Japanese restaurant — very disappointing.
Some dishes were overly salty, while others were quite bland, so the food consistency was mixed.
Food: ⭐️⭐️⭐️½ – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½ (friendly and attentive)
Atmosphere: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (comfortable and clean)
Overall, not bad — but the food quality felt more like a 3.5–4 star experience rather than the 4.5 stars we expected.
Just sharing to help set realistic expectations for future diners

Solid sushi and other Japanese foods - in particular, the lunch special (bento) combo is an amazing value. Portions were generous and tasty; we especially enjoyed the pumpkin croquette. Service was quick and attentive - the atmosphere is family oriented, relaxed, and casual, and is specially good for smaller groups and couples. Note that above ground parking can be a bit limited, but don't let that stop you from coming here hungry after a day on the mountain or on the water nearby.
