“Absolutely stellar experience at Kalvas in Parksville. Everything from the service to the food was perfect.

I had the steak and lobster, and both were cooked beautifully. The steak was exactly as it should be, the lobster was excellent, and the homemade garlic butter was outstanding. The balsamic reduction was another great touch and brought everything together.

The service was every bit as good as the meal. Attentive, professional and genuinely welcoming without being overdone. Everything was timed perfectly, and I felt very well looked after from the moment I arrived.

What I also really appreciate about Kalvas is that it is a family-run restaurant with a genuine local focus. There is something increasingly rare about walking into a restaurant where you can tell the people behind it actually care about the food, their customers and the community they serve.

The menu has a great selection with plenty of variety without being overwhelming, and the wine list is equally well thought out with a great selection to complement the menu. It feels like everything has been chosen with some care rather than simply filling a menu.

Great atmosphere, excellent food, an impressive wine list, perfect service and a locally focused family business that deserves the support.

One of the best meals I’ve had in Parksville. I will absolutely be back. Highly recommended.“
