my husband ordered me a "strawberry shortcake" for my birthday and honestly it was awful. it was a heavy pound cake, not angel food/shortcake, it had heavy lard like icing and not whipped cream like he asked for, and there were only 4 strawberries on top and about 2 tablespoons of strawberry bits in the filling. it was expensive and my birthday guests were not impressed. He also left a polite message after the fact to call him back and they never did.
A huge thank you to Whitney & her staff for making my fiance his birthday cheesecake. I ordered Reese peanut butter & chocolate because it's his favorite & Whitney listened to all my requests & then went above & beyond to create a beautiful & delicious cake! Reeses cups & pieces on top with chocolate ganache. You guys did not disappoint! Amazing products and service! Bought 2 pieces of cheesecake here - the lemon curd (recommended) and plain - and both are decadent!! Best cheesecake I have ever purchased from a store. And, the oatmeal raisin cookies taste like the ones one makes at home - and they were not overly sweet . Perfect. The service was friendly, helpful and kind. The location is convenient, just before Parksville beach, and the service is equally sweet. The master in the back, Rob, is amazing, and everything ordered is more than excellent, especially the cheese and jalapeño rolls. The owner is awesome and even gave a free cheesecake as a treat.
