Owner was so rude when I asked some questions about their wines. I am definitely not very knowledgeable in wines and he made me feel extremely stupid. No need to be rude about a simple question.
Aiden, Sea Star Winery Manager and his colleague Jessie were amazing today. We hiked to Mt Menzies and found the locked gate to the vines...they kindly let us walk through to the winery and enjoy an amazing bottle of Ortega. Highly recommend this beautiful place - enjoy a flight and taste them all before selecting your favorite.
Great spot for a glass or 4. Nice garden tables with a sneaky view of the water. It's definitely worth an hour stop in :)
Beautiful outdoor seating
Lovely balanced wines made in interesting styles. Really relaxing outdoor seating which we enjoyed in the sun. The food truck on site has unique and tasty options. Staff are informative, hands off but attentive.
Would recommend checking it out.

Unreliable operating hours. Visited this winery based on their website, Instagram, and Google hours of operations and unfortunately had to alter my plans- as did many other customers who had come and gone within the hour that I waited around. Looks like a beautiful spot but really frustrating experience.
Delicious wines, very nice staff and a cool space to sip!
My partner and I visited Sea Star in late December and had the most lovely time. We were greeted with warmth and lots of knowledge about each of the different tasting options and Sea Star’s operations. Each wine we tasted was delectable which tempted us to buy more than the one bottle we did. Brooke was incredibly personable and generous which made our visit that much more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend you visit Sea Star if you’re on Pender Island and we hope to return soon!
I had to visit Sea Star Winery while I visited Pender Island. This winery has been there for 20 years and has a beautifully established vineyard. The main building is great for tastings and seasonal food truck is available. There is spacious inside seating, outside seating and a beautiful flower garden to sample.

I had a fantastic experience at Sea Star Winery. From the moment we arrived, the welcoming outdoor atmosphere set the tone for a relaxing day. The wine selection was exceptional, with each glass offering a unique and delightful flavor. The setting was perfect for unwinding, surrounded by beautiful scenery that made the experience even more enjoyable. Susan's warm hospitality truly stood out—she was knowledgeable, attentive, and added a personal touch that made the visit unforgettable. I can't wait to return!
No red wine option. Basic establishment but classy. Flight was more than $10 less than $14. 3 tastes. About an 8 minute drive from “downtown Pender”
Absolute perfection.
Friendly, peaceful, great wine, cheese and salami I’m going to dream about…
Came for a tasting, the wines were pretty good, location is nice, only complaint is that there weren’t any reds.
The wines were wonderful. The prices were very reasonable and the picnic basket was very tasty. The staff made an excellent effort to ask how your experience is and make a genuine effort to converse with you. There's a nice peak at the water through a clearing in the trees as well.
