I chose Painted Rock Estate Winery to celebrate my 31st birthday weekend, and I honestly can’t put into words how incredible the wine tasting experience was. The staff—Monique and Kristian—were not only welcoming but also impressively knowledgeable. They were true wine nerds in the best way, sharing in-depth insights about the grapes, the winemaking process, and the unique challenges faced during different vintages.
I had travelled from Vancouver with no chance to reset or rest, and by the time I arrived at the winery, I was completely exhausted. Even though it’s primarily a wine tasting facility, the lovely staff went above and beyond—offering me a shot of espresso to help me feel refreshed and present for the experience. That thoughtful gesture made a lasting impression and really set the tone for a memorable visit. Definitely recommending to visit Painted Rock Estate!
I have had many wine tasting experiences over the years but this was the best! Jennifer did an amazing job sharing her knowledge and passion. The great view and great wine also was superb but Jennifer was the star.!
Superb tasting environment, the sight itself it a must come already. But wine itself is on the higher price in okanagan, but not as good as the wineries in Cawston.
Here they emphasize on the 18month aging of their red in French oak, but turns out the wine red in Cawston spent longer time in oak and more affordable. Their tasting fee here is $25, without waiving upon purchase which is the highest I see in this trip, but the staff is anyway the least friendly I met.
Second year in a row we have visited this Estate Winery. Also second year in a row that Jennifer hosted and provided tasting for us. On this visit we had our small dog with us and Jennifer was very accommodating. We ended up with several fantastic selections of wine to come home with us. The Red Icon was amazing and a delight to sample. We will see you again next year when we come back for a visit to the Okanagan. We recommend Painted Rock as a winery everyone should visit.
This is my second visit, and this winery remains my absolute favourite for wine tasting. The beautiful scenery, comfortable outdoor seating, and friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable staff make every visit a pleasure.
We love all the wines on the tasting menu!😀
👍👍👍 We’ll definitely be back again!
Beautiful winery, beautiful views and delicious wine!
This vineyard is amazing!! Picturesque views, great atmosphere, with fabulous service (Jennifer was great and remembered us from last spring!). This only adds to the fabulous tasting wine produced here!! Well done Painted Rock team!!
Great wine, great location, great people!!!!
Okanagan wineries are a summer joy for locals and tourists. Painted Rock Estate Winery is no exception. Their outdoor venue offers spectacular views of Skaha Lake under the back drop of arid mountains. Allowing yourself to relax and sample their wonderful Cabernet, Syrah or Merlot while enjoying the exquisite landscape lets you understand what Okanagan life is all about.
Painted Rock has a warm and inviting environment. Their staff care about your visit, explain what went into the creation of the wine and what you should expect to discover through taste. Each wine is unique and delicious.
Really lovely staff and wine 🍷 one of the best views in the area. Modern tasting lawn with lots of seating optins. Calm and beautiful atmosphere! Highly recommend

We had a fantastic experience at Painted Rock Estate Winery. The ambiance is stunning, with beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We had a reservation for a wine tasting, and the wines were exceptional—each with its own unique flavor profile. The charcuterie board we ordered was delicious and paired perfectly with the wines. The winery is also very family-friendly; our friend brought their child, and the staff made us all feel comfortable and accommodated. It's clear they put a lot of thought into making the experience enjoyable for everyone. We can’t wait to return!
Great location, fabulous views, friendly staff and excellent wi es of course. Get the charcuterie board with your wine tasting
The view, ambience, and wine in this winery was lovely. The service however, was abysmal. What should have been a 45 minute wine tasting (which was already too long for 5 wines if you ask me), took an hour and a half. The server ignored us and did a completely half-ass job at the tasting. We overheard how she treated other tables vs how she treated us and it was completely different. Perhaps it was because we were young and there was some older tables there, but either way it was unacceptable. For 63 dollars for 3 people to try 5 wines… I would never go back.
Edit After Reply: We were finished and paid before the storm started so the storm had nothing to do with the service we received but I will relinquish that there was a lot of families with young children wreaking havoc so it is very likely the servers were stressed.
Incredible winery. Some of the best wines in the region, in an absolutely stunning yet down to earth setting. Monique and the team always go out of their way to give amazing service. No idea why people below gave 1 star reviews. Wanting to spend only 15-20 minutes at a winery is a strange expectation. They must've had a bad day!
The best experience ever. Beautiful winery, stunning varietals (the Chardonnay and Icon, especially) and amazing service from the wonderful team members - with Monique making my extra special. Painted Rock is a must-try.
