Had a great time at the Barking Parrot. My friends and I went there for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by how great the service and food was. Our server was Julia and she was an absolute superstar! We asked her for recommendations and she nailed it. Everything we ordered was delicious but honestly, Julia’s service is what really made our night. She was so attentive and personable, it really made our night. After 10pm a DJ came on and we had a great time dancing. We would recommend this place is you’re looking for well priced, yummy food and a fun time!

We eat out a lot and the barking parrot is or was one of our favorites. It had everything going for it.View,good menu,and good service.We were seated yesterday and had to wait 20minutes for our server to come back.She was outside collecting the money from 2 different tables who were still eating.We waited again for a long time for our second drink as well as our food order.The menu has been recently decreased and now offers much less food choices.Our pizza tasted like someone poured a salt shaker on it and the Reuben sandwich was very greasy.We had to wait again for a very long time to get our bill.We reluctantly tipped but really didn't want to.The server spent most of her time talking to other servers ,touching her hair and was on her cell phone.The bar was not busy.We are locals and are very disappointed in our experience yesterday.The venue you have is just perfect but the service, menu and food quality needs to be addressed.Perhaps that is why most of the time it is not busy.Thanks for listening.

Good food, very reasonable priced, and nothing better than sitting outside overlooking the beach and lake!!

A dive for young kids.... fast forward April 2025.. . I thought let's try again .....we were sat at a dirty table.. the server brought a spray bottle and sprayed the table splashing chemicals or what was in the bottle in our face....cleaned tables and chairs with same cloth!.....Resort.....NOT

We were a large group. The servers were attentive and thoughtful. Quickly, through seating, ordering and delivery: respectful, responsive and patient. We heard no complaints about the food. Special shout out to the French Onion Soup!. Ty

Late night eats success story!
Walked in after 8pm on a Sunday night during the off season. Kitchen was open. My friend went with the chicken fingers. Nothing special about them. Came out hot and fresh but it’s not like they were house breaded strips. As for the beef dip the bartender mentioned it’s one of the top sellers on the menu. A favorite if you will. I decided to go with the fan favorite. It didn’t disappoint. Dark au jus and very flavourful. The bun was crisp on the outside but soft on the inside with tender slices of beef. Very happy with my meal. I’d say the disappointment was the warm beer I was served initially. The bartender was new I’d assume? Not sure but weird to be served a Luke warm beer. I let him know my disappointment and he got me something else. It took longer than it should have since he was occupied with the other staff. All and all decent spot. I’ve heard it’s the place to be fri and sat night. Sun nothing was going on. Good for a hotel bar tho and great beef dip!
