We eat out a lot and the barking parrot is or was one of our favorites. It had everything going for it.View,good menu,and good service.We were seated yesterday and had to wait 20minutes for our server to come back.She was outside collecting the money from 2 different tables who were still eating.We waited again for a long time for our second drink as well as our food order.The menu has been recently decreased and now offers much less food choices.Our pizza tasted like someone poured a salt shaker on it and the Reuben sandwich was very greasy.We had to wait again for a very long time to get our bill.We reluctantly tipped but really didn't want to.The server spent most of her time talking to other servers ,touching her hair and was on her cell phone.The bar was not busy.We are locals and are very disappointed in our experience yesterday.The venue you have is just perfect but the service, menu and food quality needs to be addressed.Perhaps that is why most of the time it is not busy.Thanks for listening.

A dive for young kids.... fast forward April 2025.. . I thought let's try again .....we were sat at a dirty table.. the server brought a spray bottle and sprayed the table splashing chemicals or what was in the bottle in our face....cleaned tables and chairs with same cloth!.....Resort.....NOT

Late night eats success story!
Walked in after 8pm on a Sunday night during the off season. Kitchen was open. My friend went with the chicken fingers. Nothing special about them. Came out hot and fresh but it’s not like they were house breaded strips. As for the beef dip the bartender mentioned it’s one of the top sellers on the menu. A favorite if you will. I decided to go with the fan favorite. It didn’t disappoint. Dark au jus and very flavourful. The bun was crisp on the outside but soft on the inside with tender slices of beef. Very happy with my meal. I’d say the disappointment was the warm beer I was served initially. The bartender was new I’d assume? Not sure but weird to be served a Luke warm beer. I let him know my disappointment and he got me something else. It took longer than it should have since he was occupied with the other staff. All and all decent spot. I’ve heard it’s the place to be fri and sat night. Sun nothing was going on. Good for a hotel bar tho and great beef dip!

Started going here for the night life, Quickly realized besides its looks and the fact its in a hotel once it gets dark this quickly becomes the most ghetto & dangerous club in town 1. Drugs, There's people selling them and doing them every single time you go into the washroom. 2. Overcrowded, Crazy line to just get in and they charge you a entry fee. 3. Impossible to get drinks and crazy prices. The lines are worse then Disney land. 50 people squished together all waiting to buy a single drink in the smallest imaginable space, then when you finally finish that drink you need to do it all again. 4. No proper AC, it gets disgustingly hot inside due to the fact they let so many people into such a small space. 5. Security doesnt care about you. They have maybe 4-5 guards for 70-100 people and the guards will not help you if you get jumped which is my next point. 6. This is the most dangerous place to go at night in pentation. Police vist 3-4 times a night cause its so bad. Ive seen people be beating and threatened while i was taking a piss in the washroom. 7. DO NOT BRING YOUR GIRLFRIEND HERE, She will be harassed by every dude and Young wanna be gangster dudes come in groups of 8-10. if you piss them off in any way goodluck leaving the bar without a police escort. Security wont help you and there is one exit.
8. This is the number 1 spot for low life people, Youll buy a girl a drink and she will turn then walk away. Girls hunt for guys they can milk for the night then they disappear into the crowd. I literally met a girl who goes there every night but never brings anything but the entry fee.
To sum it up, unless you have a gang of friends who can fight or you want drugs I don't recommend going here once the sun sets.
