Had the Sauerbraten, the meat was tough and dry, very disappointing. The sauce lacked flavour and was nothing special. The veggies and red cabbage were good and there were lots.

I've had the pleasure of eating here many times - and it's always fantastic! The food is delicious (the bratwurst is my personal go-to), the service is spectacular, and the deserts are to die for (lemon chocolate cheesecake, oh my goodness). One of the very best restaurants in Port Alberni, and arguably, the entre island!This is a smaller restaurant, so I would definitely recommend reservations. Walk-in at your own risk - of disappointment. I wish I had a picture of the yummies to go with my review, but the food disappears far too fast to even think about a photo. ?Parking: Lots of street parking, and an accessible space right outside the front door.

Honestly one of the best here in port I had a steak with garlic prawns and actually got decent portions AND good food left leaving satisfied and full (and with some leftovers)Kid-friendliness: Have a menu with items such as chicken strips bratwurst and chicken burgers for all the little ones
