By far the worst gelato ice-cream I've ever had. It tasted like it was missing a few ingredients. Staff seemed confused and careless. It was a weird experience going there and I couldn't finish even finish the ice cream. I won't be going back.

Sad to acknowledge, but the change of ownership did not work well for Casa Dolce. Still dressed as gelato that used to be sold here, current product in the ice-cream showcase is more of a soft serve full of vegetable oil. Minus one location on the map of quality ice-cream in the area.

Lovely gelato and coffee shop in the heart of Port Moody. Gelato selection is superb, but they also have a selection of sandwiches and pastries that are perfect for breakfast or lunch paired with a coffee!

I love this little place! My son took me when I was visiting him. I wish we had a similarly quaint and friendly gelato shop near me. I thought it was the best ice cream I had in a very long time. The flavour took me back to my childhood, and when I complimented the server (owner?) she gave me such a smile — it really doesn't take much to make someone's day, does it? — and I left feeling happy. Thank you to all the small business owners out there. Do yourself a favour and stop in to Casa Dolce next time you find yourself in Port Moody on a nice day!

This ice cream shop is such a cozy and welcoming place! The atmosphere is warm, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing with friends or family. The ice cream was rich, and full of flavor. Every bite tasted fresh and high quality.
What made the experience even better was the friendly service and the charming, inviting space. It’s the kind of place where you can sit back, enjoy a sweet treat, and feel right at home. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more flavors. Highly recommend if you’re looking for amazing ice cream and a cozy spot to unwind!

I really enjoyed this ice cream shop I found by walking around Newport Village and just stumbled upon it. I can only imagine how busy this place is during those hot summer days… something took forward to. My friend and I sat outside and there was a real sense of community, and we ended up having a great conversation with some other grabbing some gelato. It has that village vibe: friendly people, quaint location. I’ll be back for sure!

Saw that this place was closed for remodeling so I was eager to try it when it reopened. Stopped by on a nice hot day recently, and I enjoyed some delicious chocolate gelato. I found the service was friendly (big smiles), and it was nice to see the new diggs. I’ll definitely stop by again throughout the summer; it’s only a few minutes walk from my house. A hot summer + yummy ice cream so close to home is a deliciously dangerous combo. 🍦😉

heard their name is jay (B&J). terrible owners, terrible service, this place just rips you off cuz their scoop sizes are now half the size. sad to see the old owners not operating anymore. all the old staffs have left as well. no longer a welcoming vibe just feels like factory. you can also hear yelling/arguing constantly in the back staff room area which is absolutely unprofessional of them. sad that casa dolce got ruined by them.

Gelato quality isn’t the same anymore woth new owners and new staff do not provide the same service. JJ bean coffee now instead of illy. Better off going to vashti rose or rocky point. Don’t waste your time and money coming here.

The new owners are awful (B&J now). Ive never experienced such bad service and the quality of all products has deteriorated. Casa dolce was a port moody staple and was one of my favourite places. I cannot believe what the new owners have done they are so unprofessional and rude. Very sad.

I will occasionally pop by after the gym for food or gelato but as of late the quality of gelato seems to have dipped a noticeable amount. New management seems to have squandered the reputation of this place.

We used to go a lot and loved Casa Dolce. Recent change in owner/management to B&J cafe was for the worse unfortunately. Portions were smaller, waffle was stale and service was really bad. Gelatos looked great but were meh. Not coming back. Sad to see a favourite go.
