Nice place to buy pies

Brian Baxter

Lovely, charming pie shop that’s very tasty, but quite expensive. We got two slices of pie with ice cream and one iced latte for $40. Despite us ordering two coffees, they only brought us one and said we didn’t pay for the other. Not the greatest experience, which is a shame because the pie and coffee was great.

Great pie bars and strawberry rhubarb pie. Friendly staff and beautiful ambient. Shorts breads and granola are a must-buy.

Cute bakery with delicious goods 🔥 their cookies are absolute phenomenal

Oh my goodness! Friends had told me the pies are delicious here, but wow. Just wow. So good!

And the coffee? My cappuccino was just right - the more so on the patio.

I'll certainly be coming by here again.

I would give them a 5/5 if their prices weren't on the high end.

Pies are great, got blueberry earl grey and some other snacks/cookies.

Will be back and would suggest this as a wonderful place to go

I bought 2 cookies, they went to the back to get the cookies, not the ones from the case so wasn’t able to see them.
Paid over $12 for 2 cookies
One was burnt and tasted burnt.
Took 1 bite, went back in the store to let them know, hoping that for $6.50 a cookie I could get one that wasn’t burnt.
Staff immediately said no, but took the cookie then came out with another staff member, maybe owner?
Big Hassle, said I couldn’t, it’s not their policy, and that I ate half the cookie and was coming in to exchange it. I honestly had 1/10th of the cookie. Told her to bring the cookie back out and let’s look at how much I ate.
They said we can’t, we destroyed it and threw it away.
Then went on to explain that this type of cookie gets burnt.
I said for that much money I would like to enjoy a not burnt cookie.
Then the huge spiel about because how much I was complaining they were going to make an exception this one time but not to expect it in the future.
I said you don’t have to speak to me like that and be condescending and emphasize me not expecting this in the future.
She then said ‘You’re being condescending’
Oh my goodness. I just wanted to enjoy a not burnt treat of a cookie.
Needless to say I will not go back.
But the other not burnt cookie was good

Their earl grey blueberry bar/pie is worth every penny. Absolutely delicious.

After many friends visiting this place, they told me to go try it. I’m sorry to say I had a very poor experience with the staff here. They were in a rush to go home and we were rushed. My friend who’s been here before got his favourite apple pie again. He was also disappointed that his apple pie was served to him cold after being warmed. I got a London fog and it didn’t taste like one. They served my friend in a glass coffee mug and when I ordered 5 minutes later, they told me it will only be in to go cups since they’re closing. We were a party that came together and they didn’t even serve us the same way. I will not be returning as they were not friendly or considerate of our experience and served us cold pie. The girl was confused herself and also told us that she would warm up our cookies and then after she told us, she could not warm them up. Please don’t cause confusion with customers.

Also spend over $60 here for drinks and cookies, just for us to not know which drink was which because drinks werent made properly at all. Super disappointing

Good coffee, polite service, uncomfotable chairs, no wifi and hard to get cell data, expensive pastries at $8 per pie slice plus $1.50 if add cream. Acceptable if perfect overall but sadly disappointing when mixed berry and rhubarb pie is overwhelmed with cinnamon...not to my personal taste although could be yours.

You can smell the deliciousness before you even open the door. They have such a great selection of savory and sweet treats.
I got the potato gallete with the apple sour cream coffee cake muffin to eat in and cookies and granola to go. Everything was amazing.
FYI: There's not a lot of places to sit inside and parking sucks.
Can't wait to go back.

Vegetarian options: There isn't a lot of savory options for vegetarians. I ended up getting the potato gallete But scrape the bacon off.

The product that Gabi and Jules provides is second to none. I’ve heard many folks comment on their pies being expensive. Personally I am more than happy to pay for a FABULOUS pie made by amazing people doing great things. Keep doing what you’re doing you’ve got a customer for life ♥️

Neurodivergent BC

A reminder, theres always two sides of a story, and all the media like News 1130, Daily Hive and Global BC only likes to show one side. Gabi & Jules may look inclusive on the outside, but it’s a way different story on the inside. They use puzzle pieces on the box despite calls from neurodivergent advocates all across British Columbia for them to drop it, and there have been reports that they treat their disabled employees terribly. To all the media that portray this business as the victim, look at the other side of the story and show all the damage they have done.
