Murasaki Japanese Restaurant

This place has the best sushi I have ever had. And it’s a really beautiful restaurant. The staff is so friendly too, today the chef came and brought my toddler some rice balls to help settle him, really appreciate the kindness here!

We have been going to this restaurant for over 15 years. The couple who runs the shop are great. Front of house is taken care of by an attentive staff. My son a decade ago would go here for lunch.. by himself. They were so pleased and kind such a young kid would come in and order eat and pay. They made sure they gave him special entrees and free appetizers because they were so smitten with my son. He is full grown now .. and when we go there now they are very cordial and treat us like long lost friends.
The food is next level. So much to choose from. .. as we always order deep fried prawn tempura… with the crispy fried heads.. lol yum
The spicy scallop roll to the Port Moody roll and dragon roll… holy cow so good!
Every once in a while we get free appt gifts from the sushi master because we sit right at the sushi bar. Then another wave of curry cutlets on rice .. whoa so good
Chicken yakiudon … yum!
Then a large bottle of sake and green tea
The whole meal of over 10 entrees and the meals are always around $100-$130 for three people. We always roll out of their feeling like a couple of snakes who just ate a large cow.. :)
We absolutely recommend murasaki sushi for so many reasons and years they have been in business serving the tri cities

When we went to Murasaki we all found that all of the food was presented very well, but some of the flavour was lacking or it was too salty. The restaurants vibe was really peaceful and I liked how we all had our own private rooms. We will make sure to come back soon!

Got the Soba noodles, Hamachi Grill and sizzling beef. It was fresh, presented nicely and delicious. Inside a private booth in the corner, lovely service from the waitress and music is great too. (oldies)

My mom ordered take out a few times as she lives in the neighbourhood but this place is new to me. Ytd I picked up some takeout for my mom and everything we ordered was quite good, so we decided to go back and dine in today. Again, we liked everything we ordered. At one point, the older chef came over and asked nervously if the spot prawn sashimi I ordered was not okay because I didn’t finish all of the deep fried heads (as pictured). It’s adorable that he cared so much. I told him to not worry, 5 were simply too many for me, that’s why I only had 3 of them. He then came back with some nigiri sushi on the house anyway. 😅

I look forward to going back so I can try the other items on the menu. 😋

I ordered takeout for my kids this noon, and unfortunately the yakitori was quite burnt ,
it’s hard to believe this wasn’t noticed before packing the order.

I understand mistakes happen, but I do expect the restaurant to take responsibility for the quality of the food being served, including takeout orders.
