The Canadian Brewhouse & Grill (Prince George)

We ordered drinks and appetizers to start. After our drinks arrived we ordered dinner. It was probably at least 15 minutes before we got our drinks but it was busy in there. The appetizers took a long time to come and my husband actually had to ask about it. We finally got our appetizers and then our food started to arrive not 5 minutes later. Not all our food mind you just some of the tables meals. Me and another guest didn't get out for another 15 minutes and they were wrong. Wrong sides. Steaks well done instead of medium rare. Our server checked on our guests that had been eating for a while when she dropped off the steaks and never returned till we asked someone else for the bill. Most likely won't be back. Maybe for take out because the steak bite appetizer is delicious! But I won't be eating in or ordering anything else. Everything else was mediocre. Good place to go if you just want to drink and watch a game

Food and service were great. Too loud fo our tastes. Some of the chairs were in rough shape.

The service was good. Food came out reasonably quick. Two of us had wraps, one had a donair and the fourth poutine. The wraps were dry, the donair had no flavor and the poutine was luke warm.

Sports bar. Can be loud, but the service was great. The food is good. Look for their daily deals to save.

Food was great, our server was very rude, was forgetting drinks/food until we asked again and just overall bad manners and service, she was asking us questions that made no sense and made us uncomfortable.

Very nice, taste good

Disappointing. Usually I love this chain but this location had the music so loud I couldn’t hear the waitress, the lights so low I couldn’t see the menu and the wings were soggy on wing night. I left early to go to another restaurant.

The staff was great and agreed when I mentioned the volume and lack of light.

Great staff very freindly. Had the beef dip and would recommend it to anyone. Fair prices for the meals and drinks

Edited Oct 23rd, 2024. My original review is still below, where i gave 1 star, but i went back here today for lunch. Why did i go back, well Ella the manager and I emailed some, and we also chatted on the phone. So i decided to give it another chance. To begin with Ella is a sweetheart and took my concerns seriously, thanks Ella.
My server today, Hannah was good, I'll rank her 4 stars, food was also good. I asked Hannah what their best burger was, she recommended the Canadian burger, good choice. The beer was nice and cold to. If i was going to nit pick, music just a tiny bit to loud...but I'm older so maybe why.
Overall a good experience today.

Wish I could say how the food and drinks are here, but they wouldn't serve us, saying that the ID my friend had didn't look like her.
I actually took her drivers license and looked at it myself, looks just like her, except for the shorter hair now. Went to Mr. Mike's nearby, and the lady wasn't even going to ID my friend when she ordered a drink, but I asked the server to look at the same drivers license and tell me if it looked like my friend or not. She said yes it does, except that she got a haircut.
We had a good time at Mr. Mike's and will go back there. We have both been telling people about our experience here at the Canadian Brew house.
By the way the lady in question is 28, and didn't even need to be ID'ed in the first place, and she has never been asked for ID when we go anywhere else.
Worst part was how rude she was!

Though lobster fest was excellent the CBH isn't really a place I would recommend. The food is generally middling and price is a bit much. While the beer selection is vast they only carry products from big breweries not craft beer. Also pints are quite expensive. Staff are friendly and competent but are serving an inferior product. The location in Prince George is not very good and as a result they are always closed early.

Ordered food for take out and I felt like I got my money's worth. Delicious food, large portions. 10/10 highly recommend
