It is NOT authentic German food, but a very interesting fusion between the west coast, French cuisine and German schnitzels. The food was prepared well and tasted good.

You can see what the place used to be. The exterior now is a crossover of a seaside burger shack and the former charm of the building. The siding of the house hasn’t been treated in a while.

You sit on plastic chairs that are close to collapsing (my actual full complaint) at plastic folding tables.

This has the most authentic schnitzel and spaetzle I’ve tasted in BC! I’ve never been to Germany so don’t take my word for it though. However, it’s a solid meal and excellent value. Reservations are recommended if you’re coming during typical dinner hours and weekends. Most of the entrees are around $26 which I think is a great deal for the amount of food you get. They have about 20+ combos to choose from.

A Gemuetlich family friendly restaurant, near the beach in Qualicum. The restaurant had a real German Gasthaus feel to it- including an outdoor seating area. The schnitzel offerings were creative and the beer was on tap, prices reasonable. Service was friendly and quick. I had the Qualicum Schnitzel- who would have thought adding bacon and apple to the schnitzel would taste so good? The Spaetzle (egg noodles) tasted fresh and home made. The beans were cooked just right and tasty. Plenty of parking available. Reservations are advisable.

Biggest complaint one person in our party didn't have enough sauce on their schnitzel and when we asked for more they charged an extra$6. Seems a little excessive but food was really good.

Absolutely exceptional. The schnitzel is probably the best I've ever had. Having a wife who's Swiss and insists on only eating good schnitzel, that's saying something. And so many variations! And the spazle is amazing. It's become a necessity for us on every visit now to the Parksville Qualicum area.

Great food, great service. Amazing food… and unique decor and vibe. Highly recommend. Only issue is signage at road is easy to miss and we had to turn around.

We made it 30 minutes before closing time. The servers were excellent. I asked if it was still OK to order and they said yes. The decor feels like you are in Germany. My grandfather used to have one of the exact clocks. The menu is very detailed and full of options, including a kids menu. The kids loved the fries and said they were the fries they ever had. The food was very delicious and portions were great. Overall as my kids said...everything was excellent.

Best schnitzel I’ve ever eaten. The peppercorn and the Reuben were both spectacular. The red cabbage and green beans were perfect. The spaetzle did not disappoint. Wonderful service and great surrounds. You gotta eat here.

The food is EXCEPTIONAL. We have been getting take-out here every summer since they opened and it is always delicious. The schnitzel portion sizes are ENORMOUS with lots of potatoes, veggies and red cabbage. We always have tons of left overs. A must visit!!

I had never eaten traditional German food prior to this lovely little restaurant. We started with stuffed mushrooms and soft pretzel knots with mustard.

For an entree, I had the special, which was a coconut prawn, curry sauce and I believe honey chili oil drizzle on top of a pork schnitzel. Heavenly!! The other choice I planned on trying was the Napoleon, which I believe had a white wine mushroom cream sauce on the schnitzel!!

The sides are typically cooked purple cabbage and your choice between German potatoes or spaetzle. I chose the spaetzle and it was so soft and yummy!

My partner had apple strudel and ice cream for dessert, I had to steal a bite and it was also, very delicious!

No complaints, yummy German food, 20-30 choices of different toppings for the schnitzel. You can also switch out the pork schnitzel for chicken, veal or a bratwurst.

The bar served a decent variety of beers, a few wines, cocktails and ciders as well.

Enjoy the gorgeous views of the Strait of Georgia as you drive away or back home (Nanaimo for me), knowing that your tummy is pleasantly full and the happy vibes are flowing.
