When in doubt go to QBC to see Taylor and have a cocktails. Whether it’s your birthday, a girls night, or a book and chocolate martini afternoon, QBC is the place to go. Not only is Taylor the best mixologists on Vancouver island, he always makes the experience better. Thank you Taylor for always making my time at QBC relaxing and memorable.

My son and I met my daughter and her husband at QBC for lunch. The mushroom eggs Benedict were amazing! My son in-law said the burger was great, as well. The service was excellent, our server Brie was very personable. We look forward to going back to the Qualicum Beach Cafe, in the future❤️

We had a wonderful Christmas dinner at the bar. They did a special menu for my dietary restrictions. Taylor was very attentive and funny. Will definitely be back! I just wish they had tajin behind the bar for the margs, but otherwise everything was great. :)

Love the Qualicum Beach Cafe. Been for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It’s an amazing spot for special occasions and for great service, atmosphere and fun with friends. Jay and Tanya were exceptional and the chef will consider any requests. We will be back, thank you for making our Mom’s bday special today!

When you arrive on time for a pre-reserved Christmas dinner, especially one with a $20 CAD per person cancellation fee, you reasonably expect to be seated at a cozy, intimate table for two, not at an only table placed in a walkway.
When a menu is described on the website as a “3-course menu (+ amuse-bouche),” it is natural to understand this as three courses plus an amuse-bouche. In practice, however, the amuse-bouche was not served, which was misleading.
At a price point exceeding $100 CAD per person for a fixed menu plus drinks from the bar, one also does not expect dishes to arrive cold, such as the scallops I was served.
I am not leaving a very low rating, as I genuinely like this restaurant and have had positive experiences here in the past. However, I believe it is important for management to be aware of these issues, as they significantly affect the overall experience.

This restaurant has the BEST staff! Their hiring manager is doing things right. From the get-go our hostess, Lisa, server Lionel, and every other staff encounter was personable, friendly, happy and smiling. This makes a visit to QBC a happy occasion, before you even try the food. Our food was also good! I've been twice and have ordered the same thing both times... not because there's nothing else I'd like, but because I liked it so much the first time (Pasta Carbonara with prawns added). My husband was also happy with his steak frites. We'll be back. Keep it up QBC!

First time there and both my husband and I enjoyed it immensely. Had the early bird special and was not disappointed. The only thing I might like to point out is that they do not have toast there. Only their biscuits are available. My husband likes eating toast with his eggs, so he had to do without.

My friend and I arrived here for dinner for a celebration a few weeks ago. We each ordered a starter and main. The waitress said ‘is there a third person joining you??’ And ‘that’s more food than I could eat’ and ‘wow, you guys are killing it, I could never’. Extremely disappointed with the experience of the night, really ruined the entire dining experience
