“OMGGG this place is BEYOND delicious. I’m not even sure how a place like this is in Quesnel. This is Vancouver quality food all the way!!!!!! And the owners are just amazing people, so genuine. I used to eat here when they had the smaller more “shabby” restaurant and it was just as good then too! This restaurant is purely amazing. Crazy how you can’t even find one bad review on here, it’s just that good.”

“100% recommend. This restaurant is quaint and lovely. The menu has lots of options and the price point is excellent. The restaurant owner was kind and polite with quick friendly service. We were allowed to eat outside on the patio, even though it was late March. Our food arrived quickly and stayed hot in the cold weather with an adorable tiny skillet underneath. The scrambled eggs were heavenly and as fluffy as clouds.”

I drive 700 bloody kilometres north and still make it a point to stop here every time. Why? Because Quesnel, thank your lucky stars, you’ve got a five-star bakery hidden in your midst — and not the kind that serves up dry scones and sad muffins. No, this one delivers.

Let’s talk about those warm pretzels. Jesus. Just the right slight of salt, soft on the inside, that beautiful chew on the crust. Not rubbery, not soggy — properly done. Like someone in the back actually gives a damn.

And the custard-filled Long John’s? Don’t get me started. Rich, silky custard — not that claggy, store-bought nonsense — and a pastry that actually holds its shape instead of collapsing like a bad soufflé. It's indulgent, it's nostalgic, and it's bloody fantastic.

And the staff? Absolute legends. They’ve got that small-town charm, but they’re sharp. Quick service, warm smiles, and they actually talk to you — not stare at you like you’ve just asked for foie gras in a gas station.

“This store has the most variety of health food that I’ve seen. I stock up on bulk nutritional yeast, which is hard to find otherwise. Lots of natural vegan products too. Updated from previous review on 2025-06-06”

“Absolutely awesome experience with Q-Brew in every aspect of making cider and wine. Wonderful staff, excellent selection of starters and equipment, and a price that is great. The best part by far is the incredible attitude of the owner in helping to make the process a joy.”

Was craving Chinese cuisine - and came in the restaurant nearly starving, to dine in for an early dinner as I had forgotten to eat all day until I was famished and my stomach was angry with me. Ordered a small wonton soup, a 4-item combo for one with a substitution, and an order of spicy prawns.
Was phenomenal. Scarfed down the wonton soup as soon as they served it. Had an out of body experience whilst mowing down on the hot & fresh spicy prawns. Ate all dozen of them despite claiming I'd be eating leftovers...

Was already getting kind of full when the plate of the combo arrived at my table and the owner asked how it had been so far and I stumbled over my words to tell him it was the best I had ever eaten. He laughed welcomingly and said "because you were really hungry!" So humble!

I've eaten all over Q Town this year and have never been inspired to review a restaurant. I will be returning whenever I'm in Quesnel. Might not dine in every time as door dash exists and I'm a busy lady.
