“I really recommend this restaurant for groups! We were a group of 8 and so could share a few of the platters, absolutely delicious food! We sat at a low table on the floor with some huge cushions and it was incredibly comfortable. The atmosphere was super cosy, there was music but not too loud so we could always hear each other. The staff were very friendly. It's a shame we weren't there for one of the belly dancing shows but will gladly come back! Such a lovely evening, thank you.“

This place functions more as a take out joint, not a diner, but there are tables and chairs for about 12 people if they want to eat there.Family business, nice and friendly.There is a public free parking lot before building or try street parking along Pender St or Hastings.I ordered the Turkish Afghan platter which was served on a beef lahmacun flatbread. I ordered mild. It was topped with Kabuli rice (basmati rice) - I liked the flavoring and raisins in the rice, and comes with a very small salad. Tasty, cooked just right.You order food and drinks at counter, and then get drink from fridge yourself. There is a bottle opener by cash register if you need to borrow one.Most people came to order take out or came to pick up their orders.There is a tv screen on wall playing melodious songs by Turkish or Afghan singers.Give them a try...hardworking family.Parking: try parking in free public lot (holds 10 vehicles ) on Willingdon, or if you notice it looks full, turn onto Pender street, and park along there (no restrictions)Wheelchair accessibility: Door is level with sidewalk. But you might need someone to hold the door for you. You can wheel straight to counter to order.“
“East is East is a magnificent feast for all your senses, period. I was there for a wedding reception over the weekend and I have to say that the only thing that surpasses their culinary marvels, the soothing atmosphere and exceptional warmth of the hostess was the service we received from Lana, our waitress. She navigated through all our requests with unparalleled hospitality and swiftness making us feel at home allowing us to focus on celebrating the newlyweds. How she was able to accommodate our large wedding party with such impeccable grace and care can only be called MAGIC. I never had to worry about “wondering where the waitress went” or “did she hear the order correctly”. Simply put, it was smooth and perfect. Special commendation goes out to the kitchen staff, who kept churning out dish after mouth watering dish almost as fast as we would order it. And if that wasn’t enough to qualify as one of the most satisfying dining celebratory experiences ever, there was also David. His virtuoso violin performances throughout the evening reached deep in to our hearts and were a perfect inspiration to hit the dance floor. “Great ambience and live music. We had the tasting/all you can eat dinner and they were so Delicious. It was fun to be able to try various different food items. Fun to eat. Enjoyable. Definitely would come back again. Service was excellent - all the staff were very polite and pleasant. The only thing was if they had more staff on a Saturday night dinner time would be great especially the menu involves topping up the all you can eat items. Excellent restaurant.“
“My wife ordered take out today.Food is great. Chopan Kebabs tastes great. Lamb chops has unique char-grilled flavor . It's juicy and crispy. I think it's the best lamb chops in town.Assorted kebabs is good. I like the chicken kebabs more.Qabeli Pallow is also good.Good price, good food.Will be their regular customer.“
