You are basically gambling here. Some days the food is great and some days the food is absolutely terrible. I was in luck during my 2nd visit here after the lunch sets didn’t disappoint me but my first visit wasn’t great.

To those who choose to eat here, good luck! You will need it.

Food is mediocre and made me have diarrhea. The waitress is rude. Definitely overpriced for such quality of food and service. Can't even compete some all you can eat restaurants. Won't come again and don't recommend.

Just a disappointing experience. Ordered a couple rolls and a tempura for a quick lunch, but the server forgot one roll in our order so we finished all our food and were waiting around before figuring out she probably forgot.

Asked her and she said that it’s “being made” and we watched her go to the terminal to input the roll before going over to the chef. Had to wait another ten minutes before she brought out our food.

The shrimp part of the tempura was tiny with 70% of it being batter. The rising sun roll was mediocre, not great but not terrible, and the angry bird roll that we waited half an hour for was obviously a slapdash job, missing basically all of the toppings with only a quick drizzle of sauce and a scattering of roe.

All in all, we won’t be coming here again.

Overpriced, not worthy. 3.99 for only 3 yam fries, what the hack. Never come back

The servers are great. They are attentive. The waitress placed a wrong order but she immediately apologised and changed the right order to us. Food is fresh and yummy.

The happy hour menu is misleading. There are limits to the oysters. It is $1.50 for the first 6 oysters and then it reverts back to regular menu pricing. The happy hour menu does not state this anywhere.

I really don't understand why the ratings are low. I love the place. Cosy seating, great service, food is to my taste. Much more variety than the usual Japanese restaurants where you only rolls & sashimi. Prices are reasonable.

Came here to eat for the first time, its also going to be my last time here.

Ordered a 10pc nigiri platter and it was disappointing. The rice fell apart so many times when I tried to dip it in soy sauce, they definitely didn't use Japanese rice. The clam, octopus and squid on the nigiri were so tough I had issues chewing it through. It just felt like I was eating rubber.

Also ordered yakitori and salmon onigiri - yakitori sauce was bland and tasteless and the salmon was so dry it felt like eating cat food.

Lastly, if I'm not mistaken, this restaurant is run by Chinese people (most of the staff incl. the manager were all speaking Mandarin).

This is probably the worst Japanese restaurant I have eaten at within Metro Vancouver. Avoid.

Food tastes alright for that price point and value. The seating was decent. Washroom was a bit dark with no light inside individual stalls.

The taste and freshness of assorted sashimi was bad, the seafood noodle was only provide the cooked salmon leftover, none of prawn, squid or mussel, unexpected experience, never go again.

This place has no services and no respects to their customers.

We saw a Facebook recommendation and decided to try it out. When we arrived, there were only two tables with a total of four customers. We were waiting at the door for a while before a waiter finally lifted his head and saw us.

Two of us ordered three items, one special roll, one dish of udon, and one bowl of don (rice). It took 15 mins for the special roll to come and another 15 mins for the udon. The Don seemed got completely forgotten.

I went to a waitress (fyi. They don’t walk around and check if any customers need anything. You have to go to them.) and asked about the Don. She then went to the kitchen and brought it to our table. The Don was sitting at the kitchen for a while and the rice was cold when we tried the first bite. We told the waitress that the rice was cold, and she responded it was not cold. We asked her to touch the bowl as it was cold. She didn’t say anything and took the Don away. Another 7 or 8 minutes gone by, a different waitress brought the same bowl of Don back to the table without saying anything. We touched the bowl. It was still cold. We complained it was still cold. She didn’t say anything and brought the Don away. We sat another 10 or 15 mins, and no one came to tell us anything about the missing Don. We had enough and asked for the bill. We waited for about 5 minutes. The bill came, along with the missing Don. We rejected the Don. The waitress didn’t say anything. She took the Don away and came back in a minute (first time we had their efficient service). She threw the new bill with the Don removed and the OPS machine on our table. Oh, Yes, she threw them onto our table and walked away without a word.

We received no apologies, no explanations, no respect, and no service. This is the first time that we did not give any tips in a North American restaurant.

Ajishou, you should spend time and money in training your staff rather than promoting yourself on social media.
