Recommend one of the Chef’s Special combo. Good value and good quality food for a HK style cafe
Honestly one of my favourite place to come eat in all of Vancouver. Chill and predictable food always. Consistent 😎🙏🏻
Two waitresses greeted us only with glances from the corners of their eyes. After we ordered three takeout dishes, they demanded a full 15%+ tip upfront. No water, no seating offered during the wait — just their eye corners. They also force us pay cash by informed us that if we paid with an American credit card (chase visa) we’d be charged at a 1:1 USD to CAD rate, which is ridiculous. Regardless of how good the food might be, we won’t be returning. Yes, you right, we can’t speak Cantonese.
For a HK place, the service was decent. The ox tongue with tomato sauce on pasta was delicious. Ox tongue was fatty with a strong beef flavor. Baked pork chop with tomato sauce on rice was great as well
The waiter is very polite, but the quality of the steak is poor
Friendly staff and great service.
Vegetarian options: Limited to salad.
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly.

Effing joke, we seat down as 4 and they asked us to seat in a 6 ppl table, after we ordered daily lunch, the rude server asked us to move to the smaller table, I just cancelled the the entire order and walked away. These people will play trick if your order in total not satisfied by them. They should have warned us the seats may not be stable in the first place which I may consider to agree and move for them. It’s stupid.

Amigo Restaurant is a Hong Kong style cafe serving fresh and tasty Chinese and Western dishes with a Hong Kong culinary twist. They serve dishes like grilled pork chop pastas, seafood curry, clubhouse sandwich, iced red bean drink, and of course Hong Kong milk tea+coffee (Yin Yang).
The staff are super attentive and efficient. Most patrons are Cantonese speakers because this style of Hong Kong style cafes are getting fewer. Be prepared to wait a bit for a table unless you have a reservation.
Wheelchair accessibility: Tables are wide enough to safely accommodate wheelchairs and walkers. Entrance is completely flat with great accessibility.

The food has been inconsistent lately, and portion size went down while price went up. I ordered a curry chicken lunch meal and it was one of the worst meals I've had recently. They put boiled unseasoned chicken in their curry so the chicken was bland and tasteless even with curry on top. The other meals looked fine, but it seems like they are cutting corners where they can.
Been to this store many times. The quality of African chicken chop rice is still as good as ever. And when there are many customers, the service and dining can be maintained at a high level.
