I purchased a Japanese souffle cheesecake today at the McArthurglen outlet location. I’ve purchased their cheesecakes before from the Richmond location and they were fine. The cheesecake I bought today had a strong plastic taste to it and was inedible. I took a few bites and could not finish it. Very disappointed!

I normally get the cheese tart but felt like trying their cream croissant The croissant is housemade and although small in size, the croissant is crisp on the outside and the cold icy cream on the inside is refreshing I will get this again! The store inside is small but clean and bright. It's a good place for a break from shopping The service staff are friendly and helpful with questions

I wanted to buy a cheesecake and I asked the stupid girl if she could also warm the bottle for my daughter and she said no. This was food for my baby for God's sake !!!!! Of course I did not buy anything after all. Such a bad service. Never coming back and not recommend it.

While I was at the outlet mall, I was craving for some snack and I decided to try the chocolate croissant and yogurt slush. The cashier said it would take around seven mins for the croissant which was no problem for me. I was sitting there while waiting and drinking my yogurt slush. Surprisingly, the drink was very good! It has a nice balance of yogurt, creaminess from cheese yet a bit of sweetness to it. After more than ten mins and I noticed more and more people who came after me got their croissants, I went to the cashier to ask for mine but they completely forgot about it. It took them another few mins and I was again surprised seeing how tiny the croissant was but nonetheless it tasted good. The fillings inside was cold creamy chocolate cheesy stuff.

I tried the so called croissant… it should be called an extra small croissant or a mini croissant… it’s false publicity, they do not display the croissant, but they have a big poster that advertise their big croissant, that are so small. Disappointing, don’t waste your money there.

I usually go for their delightful cheese tart but this time I tried their Tiramisu and it was good!

The cheese tarts here eclipse any cheese tarts available in the states by 1.6 km.When fresh or properly warmed, all of the cheese filling is melty, and the thin buttery crust crispy and crumbly. Compared with the more traditionally shaped Hokkaido cheese tarts, the tarts here have a way way way higher filling-to-crust ratio, and that’s what you’d want, because the filling is satisfyingly savory and intensely cheesy.Castella Cheesecake’s has become the gold standard I rate other cheese tarts against. Anything that tastes 80% as good as these deserves 5 stars. When are you coming to the US, so I don’t have to keep crossing the border — not every officer at the border finds buying cheese tarts a credible reason for entry.
