I’ve been a regular customer at Chatime, but recently I’ve been very disappointed with the customer service, especially at the Richmond location. The manager, who has huge nails and blonde hair, has been far from welcoming and lacks patience. As someone in a key role, I expect much better service, but her attitude is frustrating and makes the experience less enjoyable.

I had high expectations from a brand like Chatime, but my recent visit left me disappointed. The customer service was lacking, particularly from one staff member who appeared impatient and unwelcoming. It’s disheartening, especially since customer service plays such a vital role in creating a positive experience for visitors.

Before sharing this review, I read through previous feedback, and unfortunately, I found similar concerns that resonated with my experience. Customer service should be about treating everyone with respect, whether they are regular customers, new visitors, or even employees of other brands.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but when service is as poor as what I encountered, I feel it’s important to speak up. I hope Chatime takes this matter seriously, especially at this location, which has the potential to attract and retain loyal customers. Improving the customer experience could make all the difference.

This was my first time at Chatime, and unfortunately, it will also be my last.

Bad customer service. They don’t even give tap water which comes in basic necessity. They say its store policy to give bottled water. I was recommending all my friends to buy from chatime but from now its a big NO for chatime. The girl with blond hair was being rude she was staring me all day. I deleted my past bad review because she came to me in A very aggressive manner and talked. Then she scanned our QR code to put bad review for me. She misbehaved with all our employees. She called security for no reasons not directly to us but secretly complaining about us. Rest, I just asked for water and she created a big scene. She complained 4 times at guest service for no reasons. Well, i loved chatime but I have to learn to live without it.. heart broken.

I love this place, every time I come to the mall I grab a quick bubble tea from here
With a few friends and there's never an unrealistic line, my order never takes more than 6 mins, definitely recommend it if you're in the area. The drinks are great and there's a wide variation of drinks with and without caffeine

bought fruit tea and a slush. i love this chatime because the workers are always super nice! my favorites are their chatime fruit teas, like mango, lychee, etc. and their pearls are consistently chewy. i like using the electronic order thing where you tap the screen and pay there because it's convenient. all you need to do is listen to your number. it helps if there's a customer right before you, so that you can see them get their order and then you already know that your order will arrive next. ty

The service was very friendly, and our drinks were served in no time. The kids were learning how to place their orders, and the wonderful ladies behind the counter were so patient and understanding. Thank you so much for making their experience so positive! (August 2024)

Really convenient to use the kiosk. Not too lomg of a wait for the drink. I ordered the milk tea with pearls and the taro milk tea

I am giving this place the 5* because it deserves it. The server was informative about the drinks. Curtesy was great and the drinks we got where refreshing and filling as needed by this heat. I loved being able to get the matcha and red bean tea with bubbles. It's hard to find in the Fraser Valley, being fair we hardly have any good bubble tea places between Fort Langley towards Hope . I hope this location in Richmond centre, will be still there when we visit next.

Dietary restrictions: The teas can be altered as needed.

Parking: It is on the ground level , in the same.side as white spot restaurant has its entrance.

Wheelchair accessibility: It is on the ground floor and has an open entrance . No restrictions for any kind of wheelchair

The two employees kept chatting and didn't pay any attention to us when we came in. Only one male employee actually did the work and ordered 2 cups of mango poster recommended drinks. The mangoes were so sour that the mango drink was not good to drink. I usually buy it and try it out when seeing many people, but I am disappointed. Once is enough.

Always enjoy the drinks from here as they are always delicious.
However, a couple downsides to note as of my recent visits:

Was pretty eager to try the new sakura drinks, but they’re pretty much sold out most of time.
If you want to earn points, you have to order at the counter.
One time, I ordered from the counter with a lady, her attitude wasn’t the best, perhaps she’d had a long day but that would definitely encourage me not to interact with their staff in the future.
