I remember a few months ago I came here first time and the food was good. So this time I brought my friends to the restaurant. The food was quite tasteless with terrible odors. We ordered 6 dishes, none of them are good. It’s a very disappointing experience. Never come here again.

We had had very sumptuous mushrooms meal in Yunnan one year during the foraging season and still think of it every now and then.Our family has been in South Silk Road in Richmond a few times whenever we crave for mushroom meals and it happened we were in the neighbourhood just before a snowstorm this Feb so we had had to eat there again for a heart-warming lunch!There weren't too many customers (as compared to dinner, especially when people knew a snow storm was arriving!) We ordered our favorite mushroom pot, vegetables, and of course the must try home-made soy milk (this time I had the rose in soy milk)....we especially appreciate that you can order just one piece of the savory/sweet to try, rather than a whole dish....so we shared an assorted variety. Don't miss the rose pastry. (Too bad we only remember to take one photo because the dishes were too good to stop eating and take photos!)Very spacious with unique decor...enjoyed another delicious fulfilling meal while appreciating cultural design.

Be careful not to go to this restaurant. I had diarrhea after eating it and felt very uncomfortable ? Mushrooms? I had diarrhea after eating it. The price is very expensive. It is a restaurant that seriously needs lightning protection.

Very delicious. Been here several times and it never disappoints. Parking it limited but there is a large lot (paid) close by the park behind the lane. Has rooms for private smaller parties. Must try are their black tea fried prawns, cold white noodle with 2 sauces (chili oil and hoisin-type).

I leave the food star empty cause I couldn’t eat the food. I called asking if they have halal options. But the guy who first answered the phone kept saying “hello come come now busy we are” and when I ask to speak to a manger or supervisor he said “no go home you now” then when I said can I please speak to someone with better English he gave the phone to a lonely customer and i know this cause the person when I asked about my halal options they just said “I don’t know I don’t work here” then eventually someone said no they don’t and said good luck.
Great looking food. Quick service but poor language skills from the server. Fantastic tea. Sad atmosphere but we were there between 2/4 pm, so it might be normal. Some parking available but it’s only half a block from Richmond centre, so, park there for free and walk. Nice decorations but a place like this will be buried in the pile of restaurants that abound in Richmond. They gotta try harder.
