I had a very underwhelming experience at Curry Express. Right from the start, the service was poor — the girl at the counter was unfriendly and didn’t even bother with a basic greeting. I had to wait around 15-20 minutes for my food, which wouldn’t have been an issue if the quality matched the wait.
I ordered the Chana Bhatura, and honestly, it looked and tasted like the chana had been sitting around for a week — mushy, stale, and completely lacking in flavor. To make things worse, I was charged $15 but wasn’t even given any yogurt or raita, which is typically standard with this kind of meal.
The salad was another letdown — dry and clearly old. The carrots were turning white from dryness, and the rest of the vegetables looked just as tired.
Definitely not worth the price or the wait. I won’t be coming back.

Ordered the Chaat papdi. 11.99 A cold smal natcho like dish. There was chick peas and sour cream in it. Was good. I ate half and saved the rest for later. Not recommended later...reason the deep fried chips get soggy. Great to go item if not watching calories. I was at richmond center mall. Not the best for parking now since the yellow tape is blocking the Bay area and less parking for sometime now up top. Would i get again? Yes.

I ordered thali from them the chilli chicken tasted like at least 2 days old and all other curry ( chicken, aloo, Chana masala) tasted the same the taste was horrible. They should be fined for serving expired food which was very evident from the taste and smell. Never coming here again.

I ordered chicken biryani, there was maybe 4 pics of 1/4” meat in the rice, I was using my fork to search for the meat, it felt like looking for a pearl under the sea. The quality of rice was not the best and it was a bit soggy. The curry powder was very spicy. I paid $16.50 for just rice and 4 pcs of meat was not worth it, I didn’t finish my food. The photo was taken after I finished eating. I usually don’t have leftovers, but this is the worst chicken biryani I have ever had in my life. The staff was ok, I have no complaints about them, I will definitely not be coming back for Indian food!

I highly recommend Curry Express in Richmond Centre for group events! We ordered a day before our department lunch, and AJ was incredibly thoughtful, increasing the food quantity to fit our budget. The butter chicken, vegetable paneer, and samosas were delicious, and AJ even provided extra naan bread. The food and service were outstanding—thank you, AJ, for making our event a success! We’ll definitely order again!

Very pathetic service by the lady working evening shift on Jan 13th, 2025. She was least interested in serving to begin with and the first question I asked when i reached at 8:10 was what time do you guys close. She said last order 8:30. 8:20 when i went to order she said no food anymore. Which was a pure lie. She wasn't even able to answer when I asked why can she not serve. Just said "cook did it" (no clue what that means).She said they don't even have their basic food that is naan. I have eaten from this place before and the staff has always been nice. But very bad today. Someone really needs to teach the staff good customer service.

I always go to CF Richmond Center but never tried Express Curry food. Today I got lunch there and it will be the LAST time they get my money. First of the server was horrible, she packed in a LOT of gravy and little meat. When I pointed it out to her to add meat, she added a ONE small piece and pointed to the menu price. I bought the large lunch with 2 meat options, the taste was BELOW the standard I'm used to from other Indian restaurants. WORST Indian food I've had in 4 years.
