“This popular Hunan restaurant is a bit out of the way and leans toward northern Chinese flavors. The four of us ordered four dishes, with an average cost of around 40 RMB per person. One standout is the fried dough sticks (youtiao), which are presented in a unique way—hung up like slabs of pork. If you can’t handle spicy food, don’t try to push your limits here. The service is quite slow—very, very slow—which likely means the dishes are freshly made rather than pre-cooked. There’s no parking right at the entrance, so you’ll need to find a spot in the mall or park at Walmart nearby.“

“Been coming to this location for about 15 years or so. Don’t believe I’ve ever reviewed this place, but I wanted to share something positive that happened today.

To make this short, there was an issue with my meal today. No big deal, it was taken off the bill. However, not only did the manager take it off the bill, he also gave me an extra appy on the house as well as give the person eating with me a free dessert. Pure class.

The manager’s name is Kevin and he handled the situation very well. Not only in regard to the bill, but his manners were top notch as well. I haven’t had service like this in a long time, so it was a very pleasant experience and now I can’t wait to return to this location.“

“After a fun shopping trip, we decided to swing by the White Spot for some cocktails during happy hour. I absolutely loved the Nat Bailey Lager and the refreshing watermelon cucumber drink! We even snagged their special sweet potato fries, which were delicious. This spot is super convenient, right in the Richmond Centre on No. 3 Rd. The service was fantastic, and the restaurant felt so clean and inviting. Definitely a great place to relax!“

“I really like the place and the staff was very friendly to me. Especially my Daughter liked the place very much. Talking of food, they are so delicious and mouthwatering. I would love to visit this place again.

“Great local brunch spot! The bacon was incredible and the vegetarian Bennie was a 10/10. The coffee was good as well. Overall the food and service was great. Lots of parking available for free as well as paid street parking.

Brunch is served until 2PM. No wait at 11AM on a weekend.

The only reason the restaurant gets one less star is because the bathrooms were pretty dirty and the floor was also slanted.“

“Came here for Pirate Pak Day, which is probably peak busy day for White Spot. Had about a half hour wait before we were seated, but good thing is they have a large free parking lot.

Service was a bit slower, which is expected given how busy the place was.

Good location for family dining and usually has seating available. Definitely gets busier as more people live in the Brentwood area.“

“What can I say? My family have been dining at White Spot Kerrisdale for nearly 30 years! I used to come when I was very little and now my daughter (who is 3) experienced her rite of passage with the pirate pack recently! I was blown away by the sheer portions of every dish including her pirate pack and the cute menu/colouring page she received. They have many options for the pirate pack now! The vanilla bean ice cream was also of exceptional quality, which surprised me.

I usually order the Legendary burger with extra Triple-O Sauce and subbed sweet potato fries but this time I threw good sense to the wind (my weight watching sense, that is) and ordered a 6oz bacon cheeseburger with subbed poutine and an extra side of tartar sauce as a dip! My family ordered the Spot’s fish and chips (so crispy, so fresh), and the Monty Mushroom burger. No complaints from any of us, particularly from my little one. We will definitely be back. Thank you White Spot for always staying consistent! Will probably order the milkshake, cheesy bacon pierogies, crispy haddock burger next time around! Or stop by for breakfast. You can’t go wrong!“

“we went and stayed at the Parq Vancouver and we went to Honey Salt each day for food and amazing cocktails! the staff was so friendly and the Bar head manager was so kind and friendly. I recommend everyone visit . also the 11 layer banana/chocolate cake is to die for! also try the Korean chicken bites!“
