The service was slow and the food wasn't great. We were told the attire was "smart casual" yet there were people dining next to us in t-shirts and pajama pants (breakfast). I booked our reservation over 1 month in advance, yet we were seated at the worst table (next to the kitchen/ limited view). Parking for 2+ hours at the Airport would have been $59 which they do cover. However, the barcode they gave us didn't work and we had to call for help at the gate exit, holding everyone else up behind us. It was very stressful and not a great experience my Mom's 70th Birthday (8 guests).
This is a beautiful space with unparalleled views. Our seafood was very fresh and desert was on point. While our server was friendly, she disappeared for long periods of time, so service was spotty. Music was great but the acoustics magnified other diners conversation making for a loud atmosphere. This was especially true because there was a large family with four young children who were being allowed to run amongst the tables playing while their parents dined. This was disturbing the experience of other diners. I don't mind children, but I e never seen this in a nice restaurant. I would eat here again when overnighting at Vancouver airport, just adjust expectations.
I've ordered the Thanksgiving Turkey To-Go for four consecutive years, but this year's experience was extremely disappointing. The portion sizes were noticeably smaller than previous years (items that used to come in individual trays now appeared halved), and the quality dropped significantly. The mashed potatoes were barely mashed and tasteless, carrots had no flavor, bread was just a plain burger bun, and the stuffing was dried out. Only the Brussels sprouts were decent. Additionally, the promotional bottle of wine I was supposed to receive for ordering early was missing.
What made this worse was the complete lack of response after contacting multiple email addresses over several days. I've sent four emails to various contacts including the restaurant managers and received zero acknowledgment. This experience fell far below the Fairmont standard I've come to expect as a loyal repeat customer.

Really enjoyed the lunch special - Food on the Fly. Had a delicious mushroom soup, and the shrimp poke was pretty good. Better with a bit extra sauce we ordered to add on top. But I like that they didn't over-sauce the food, so adding a bit was right for us.
I have high expectations at a Fairmont hotel restaurant. The photos are of a turkey club house sandwhich. This should typically at the globe be a slice of fresh roasted turkey. For some reason we were served the shavings from the carving process. Coupled with a bread soaked in butter and my wife just finished regurgitating her dinner. The steak that should have been medium rare was blue rare still good but the melted butter on top not to my taste. Mushrooms and asparagus were good. Shrimp cocktail very good. Calamari ok. They did remove the un eaten club house from the bill however the expectation of great at the Fairmont is at best an ok overall. $200.00 with tip for meh...

Lovely experience, their pork sausages are to die for so so good. I will def recommend and come back anytime I need to travel... The view is way better of planes on taxi lane
The food here is always good, and on a late sunny day like we had the views are killer. Service is consistently slow as mgmt doesn't have enough servers on the floor. Wine list by the glass is BC only which is odd 1. Because it's a higher end location and 2. There are much better BC wines than the ones they choose to serve. But there is no competition besides the food court in the airport. This is an OK restaurant but a little bit of thinking could make it a really good one.
Had the worst brunch I've ever had in the world and it was also pricy. This place has really gone down hill in terms of service and food quality compared to its heyday 10 or 15 years ago. How can Fairmont allow this place to operate within their hotel is beyond me. Its a huge drag for the brand. Only a complete overhaul of the brunch service could salvage this place. Everything we had was bad (Benedict, salmon omelette, chia seed yogurt was a soup!, croissants and danishes were rock hard and stale from the night before) except the coffee was ok. This is not an exaggeration. After the meal there I just want to put it out of my mind, but not before I leave this review to help others stay away...at least from their brunch.
I was disappointed with the food, not the standard of a Fairmont property. We ordered the all day breakfast, the eggs were over cooked. My wife ordered a latte and was served a french press. Not at all what we were expecting when we met our friends before they flew.

I always try to stay and dine at the Fairmont YVR airport hotel if I have an early morning flight. The hotel is fantastic and the meals at Globe @ YVR are usually pretty good. I love to watch the planes as I eat. Last night I went to dine with a friend who was staying at the hotel (I was being treated to a meal as I had dropped him off). Unfortunately, we witnessed our server Melissa being abused by a difficult customer who was dining alone next to our table. She was having steak and sent it back because it was not satisfactory to her liking. Fair enough. But she made a stink about the entire experience and even got the manager involved. Really? They comped her the expensive meal and she stormed out. Both my friend and I had the three course prix fixe meal and it was one of the best I have had to date at this restaurant (in the twenty plus years that I have dined here). The sirloin was prepared perfectly and the crab bisque and chocolate cake was excellent. It’s an expensive place, but our server Melissa did a great job and I was very happy with my dining experience. We all have bad days but that lady didn’t have to take out her frustrations on the staff and make a spectacle of herself. You do kill more flies with honey than vinegar. You did well, Melissa…think you for the great meal.

Second time visiting Globe- food was excellent, service very good. Brought a guest and they were very impressed!
Great service & apps!!! We got oysters and scallops to start with. The sauce paired with the scallops was so good 😋 scallops were cooked to perfection. The oysters were delicious! Our mains were a little disappointing unfortunately. Tasted like it was lacking flavor & my fish lacked a sear and was kind of dry. My husband didn't enjoy his chicken either.
Other than that, it was good! Cocktails, service, apps & dessert get 5 ⭐️ from me.

Josh was extremely courteous and helpful. Lovely meal - meet up with friends who came to hotel as we were in transit.
