For a party of 3 people w/ over $100 spent, we were quite disappointed by the food, portion, & the bill.

To keep the rainy winter blue away my friends and I were seeking a gourmet therapy. We felt like Japanese cuisine was the perfect prescription for the day so we went to this restaurant.

This cozy restaurant is easy to find with plenty of parking lots outside. The server offered us a larger table for five of us. Having settled down we order their lunch combo.

The sashimi was fine and the main dish hamburger meat was nicely cooked and delivered with the side dishes. Price was very reasonable for the portion and quality.

This is a good place to try.

The sashimi portion was quite small. Considering the price, I expected at least 8 pieces of fish or thicker cuts of fish. My husband and I usually enjoy rice, but this was our first time having a don with so much rice underneath. We didn’t want to waste food, so we ended up eating plain rice. The taste and service were good, but with the current price and portion size, it’s hard for us to justify coming back.

This place serves somewhat decent, but inconsistent food and customer service has been a bit better recently. Sometimes the food is too salty but I can get by it. The interior is interesting and unique, a bit too small though. Their noodles are a bit for speculation, as sometimes the flavours seem off and too overpowering or salty and other times it is fine. Honestly, you just have to gamble whether or not the food is generally good but of all the times I’ve been to this Japanese Restaurant, around 63% of the time it is above satisfactory. You can go ahead and try your luck here and see what you think for yourself - quality is not guaranteed but somewhat achievable.

In Richmond for just a day. This place was near. Warm service, great atmosphere (small and with personality). Most importantly, food was delicious (gyudon and salmon bento). Very pleased

Had gyudon for the first time here and it was delicious. The prices and service were excellent, one of the best restaurants in the Continental Shopping Centre. Highly recommended to those who are fixing for some ramen.

Every old 1 star review you see still stands so if you are thinking of going to this restaurant and think the old reviews probably don’t stand anymore, I am telling you right now they all are up and stiff like a metal military pole.

The service is horrendous and BTW they serve the tea in plastic cups (??????). Everything was overly salty and for the insane high price I expected the food to be better.

As a person recovering from a post-Japan trip I had hoped this would heal me, and honestly from how close every party was seated, it really did make me feel in Japan… but other than that there was absolutely nothing that could relate to the taste, politeness, and attentiveness in Japan.

If you have money to spare and a diet consisting of sodium, sodium, and more sodium, come!

The interior design makes you feel like you’re in restaurant by a Japanese fishmarket.

Service is great and the food is always tasty.

Seafood yukke don is my number one go-to!

despite having over half their menu dedicated to noodles, i coudlnt taste their dedication in their nabeyaki udon, as it clearly tasted store brought udon submeredg in a dilluted mirin and water solution... and to top it off, it came with some fried chicken that was bland and soaked in 100 year old burnt oil, making it unconsumable. it also came with two boring pcs of shrimp tempura 2/5
however, their cold udon with sashimi had tones of flavour that blended in well, which kinda saved their weak points 3.8/5

their garlic ramen (black ramen) was flavourless with non memorable noodles... even instant noodles were better than their noodles cuz at least they have flavour 1/5

but theres one thing and only one thing ill come back here for: their sashimi. while their hamachi was mid, their salmon was fatty, fragrant, and literally melted in ur mouth like butter 4/5

overall 3/5
