Very unique Japanese restaurant. Japanese decoration inside. Most foods are set combination. We just visit and try this restaurant. Salmon sashimi is fresh, but portions is not big like normal restaurant we ordered. Personally think this restaurant is more suitable for fast order and quick eater.

Wanted to love this place as it is the same owner as our favourite tantanmen restaurant which is Nanchu Gmen.
My husband and I opted to come here after finding out that Gmen is closed on Mondays. I liked the ambiance of the restaurant — it makes you feel like you’re eating on the streets of Japan.
The food we ordered, however, did not live up to expectations. My clam miso butter soup was too salty and had too much noodles as compared to the clams. My husband’s spicy chicken with cold noodle salad was what I enjoyed eating more, however, you can get satiated after eating too much of it.
The takoyaki that we ordered for our side was great and exactly what you would expect. If we decide to come back, i’m hoping to try other items on the menu like the creamy seafood chowder which I hope has more seafood and has a creamier, less salty broth.

We used to come to this place frequently. So coming from the airport we decided to eat here. Surprisingly, the place was empty at 630pm. We ordered our fave deep fried Chicken Don with Egg. This time they had Aburi salmon. The egg with the chicken Don was cold though. I don’t remember it to be cold before. Food quality seems to have gone down. You serve yourself with water and tea .

IMO the best Japanese food store in all of the lower mainland. Good flavour, fast service, a lot of menu variety.
I wish it opened later, would be such a banger spot to hang out with people late at night.

*Waitress served us hot tea and accidentally poured the hot tea on my leg. It’s an accident but the way how the shop handled is unacceptable to me. I went toilet and the waitress gave me a pack of ice and a spray which expired 2 years ago. My family helped me get a Polysporin then which i expect should be the shop sent someone going
*Food with MSG for sure I’m very thirsty after eating.
*sorry I’m not able to pay any tip for the food and also the service, and the disappointment is shown on the face of the waitress.
Cute and quaint spot close to Aberdeen. Good price for a chirashi don and miso soup in Richmond. Staff was kind and patient.

I’ve been coming almost every year when Im in Vancouver; they are always worth a visit to Richmond!
It’s a small cozy place so they can get packed very quickly so I recommend going early if you have a bigger party.
Fortunately, my sister got there early and although it was was originally two separate tables, we were able to get a big table to accommodate all of u (6 of us) so we didn’t have to separate.
The prices have gone up but I think their food is great and definitely worth it and service is always so friendly.
They only accept cash or debit so prepare for either of you go!
