Gyo-o is one of my go-to Japanese izakaya spots. The beef udon is a standout for me—the soup is rich, comforting, and consistently good. The sashimi is always fresh, and there’s a great variety on the menu, which makes it easy to come back and try different things.

Really great quality sushi with very fresh fish. This is an excellent spot for sashimi dons, the cuts were generous, clean, and flavorful. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, and you can tell they care about quality. I really enjoyed my sashimi here and would definitely come back if you’re a fan of fresh, well-prepared seafood.

They have 4 different sets of menu with the choice for dine out vancouver, we can choose which flavour, and they have the appetizer and main entree for each set, as to add $3 we can upgrade to abalone as well
