🍲 Hao’s Lamb Restaurant 👉🏻 A fantastic spot for authentic northern Chinese-style lamb dishes! The food is flavorful, rich, and perfectly cooked. The dishes I ordered (lamb hot pot, fried lamb) were all delicious — tender lamb with deep, savory seasoning, well-balanced sides, and generous portions. We’ve dined here many times before and usually order a lot of dishes. However, this time it was just two women and an 80-year-old elder, and since no one had a big appetite, we only came specifically for the lamb chops and ordered a few light items. To our surprise, the server reacted rudely, saying, “That’s all you’re ordering?” and gave us a condescending look. I even noticed another table where someone was only having a bowl of noodle soup—why is it frowned upon to dine in with just a few dishes? To make things worse, the wooden tray used for serving the lamb chops was chipped and unstable. We had to use a chopstick holder to prop it up. It was also difficult to get the attention of the staff throughout the meal. Although the experience this time was uncomfortable, the lamb chops are still as delicious.

Came here withy parents and large group of their friends for a banquet dinner. We were seated in one of the private dining rooms. Service was great and attentive, the food is a mix of central/ northern Chinese cuisine with some Henan touches. Everything we had was really delicious and well cooked. Fresh BC crab, fresh local spot prawns - both amazing. The crab has a sweet/ savoury mustard sauce on which was delicious! Definitely get the traditional bread and the cold cut and make a sandwich out of it! Don't sleep on the brown sugar bread either - it took me right back to my childhood in Henan.

Hao’s was a huge letdown. Great food, but terrible service completely ruined the meal. We left a fair tip despite the inattentive staff, only to have the waitress demand more—utterly unacceptable. Tips are earned, not demanded. Unfortunately, this left us with a lasting negative impression.
