Ordered grilled lamb rack, fried potato slices, lamb soup, lamb dumplings, grilled pancake. The best dish was the lamb rack. The second best dish (close 2nd) were the dumplings. Fantastic, the juice inside had a strong lamb flavor. The fat on there was so perfect with the dried spice, it may be the best lamb fish I've had all year. The soup was good but unexciting. The potatoes were actually quite a bit better than I expected.

Used to be my favorite restaurant in Vancouver but their quality has gone down. The grilled lamb rack was well done and doesn't taste fresh. The steam egg had a piece of metal inside..I'd probably not eat here anymore

Came for a light lunch before a prix fixe dinner and decided to try something different. We ordered just a light lamb soup, stirfried cauliflower, and a stewed lamb. Everything was delicious, service was quick, but a few things to note:* I thought the lamb soup was extremely refreshing. It had thin strips of tofu that served like a pretty good textural contrast that doesn't dissolve in the broth like the rice noodles eventually do.* Stewed lamb was good in the moment. I appreciated that it had some napa cabbage to add a bit of textural contrast. The issue is that the leftovers don't taste so great. I couldn't explain it but somehow there was an aftertaste akin to the smell of marijuana -- I think there's some spice here that probably did this. Made every burp somewhat weird too...

Me and my dad and mom came in a raining Sunday night. The place was busy and parking lot was full taking us some wait to find a spot. The servers were very warm and friendly and food was exceptionally flavorful and true. We did not have reservation so the wait time was about 30min. My mom was a lamb aficionado and always wanted to find the authentic lamb dishes of her childhood and this place met her expectations and super satisfied. We ordered two of the house 8 specialties, lamb hot pot and lamb ribs. But the lamb dumplings were amazing inside out. To balance out the meal, we also ordered a steamed fresh rock fish with fried minced garlic, which was as good as any similar dish from a top notch Cantonese seafoods restaurant. Overall a must-try lamb restaurant, one of a kind.

Hao's Lamb restaurant came highly recommended by my local friend. This is a restaurant that specializes in lamb. Even though I live in Southern California with a robust Chinese food scene, I don't think we have a lamb restaurant like this in the LA and OC area. We came in maybe 30 minutes before closing time. Our waitress reminded us that the kitchen was about to close and gave us some good recommendations on the menu. We ordered soon after, and everything was served in less than 10 minutes.Every single dish was out of the world! The papaya and cucumber salad are vinegary and sweet, full of raw garlic, and super refreshing! The lamb noodle soup has a lot of depth yet tastes clean and not gamey. But heck, if you don't like gamey food, you probably don't want to dine at a lamb restaurant in the first place. Lol. The wait staff were super friendly and gave us good recommendations. They also came and checked on us several times, and reminded us to try the chili in lamb oil, which is very unique.

Lamb-apocalypse! Holy smokes, if you love to eat cumin spiced lamb like you are in northwest China, then this is your place! Lamb chops, lamb dumplings, lamb skewers, lamb stew... it goes on and on. Lamb chops: a bit fatty, but I like them that way. Comes with some xinjiang spices for extra flavor! Sesame bread: a good vehicle to eat lamb chops with! I made nice lamb sandos for easy eating!Lamb and fish dumplings: I'm not sure what kind of fish but pretty tasty and blended well with lamb. Dumplings tasted like they were homemade. So good dipped in black vinegar. The location is pretty close to the Aberdeen Skytrain station, so it is easy to get to without a car, although there is parking close by too. No shock, but I totally over-ordered. Orders come in large portions, so bring an enormous appetite or some friends when you come!

THE BEST LAMB.My boyfriend and I watched a Youtube video about a meal in Hao's Lamb restaurant while we were planning our Vancouver trip and we instantly decided to check it out.We arrived around 1 pm on Friday (12/23), and the restaurant was almost fully seated around 2 pm and it snowed heavily that day. My boyfriend and I love lamb, but my friend is not really fond of lamb because she doesn't like the smell of lamb. She was cool with going with us and planned to just try some of the lamb dishes and maybe order some non-lamb dishes, BUT, SHE FINISHED EVERYTHING WITH US. I don't know what else to say, guys, even my friend who barely eats lamb even enjoyed this meal, what can I say???We ordered the dishes below:Lamb Fish dumpling: the biggest dumplings we have ever eaten and filled with meat. (My friend really liked this one and she finished 5 pieces)Lamb strip: first time trying lamb strip, super tastyLambchop: rich in flavor, tender. very big portion, came in with 9 of them! The bread: we also got the bread (both sweet and plain), perfect for soup dipping or stuffed with lamb!We are already planning our next Vancouver trip, and we definitely need to stop by here!

Not bad, but not amazing. The texture of the lamb meat is decent enough, but still a tad tough for certain pieces depending on what dish you order. My favourite item would honestly be the bread that they have with the sweet filing inside. Nice atmosphere and decor, but definitely a busy restaurant. We had to reserve a table even during a weekday.

I don't think we have something like this in the Bay Area. The service here is very nice. The restaurant itself has a parking lot. There's also street parking available. The concept here is everything is lamb related dishes! We ordered three main entrees for two people:红焖羊肉(braised lamb): quite tasty but it could be numb. You might want to ask the server to reduce the numbing level, but it's He Nan 河南dish, so people probably just eat this level of numbing. 羊肉生煎包Pan fried Bao w/ lamb filling: very delicious!! Highly recommend this one if you come here.羊肉胡辣汤Hu La Soup / lamb: this one I'm not a fan to be honest. It's quite sticky with weird ingredients in it. I'm probably not familiar with the ingredients they used, but the taste was okay. Again tasted quite numb. It's not like the hu la soup from Xi An, it's the He Nan 河南 styled. Might be good to order something else.

Definitely one of the expensive lamb places. It's extremely popular so book beforehand. If you walk in, there will be a 15-20 minute wait. The dishes were flavourful, but there was a dish that was too complicated and over spiced. Otherwise, it's extremely noisy, with servers yelling over the room. Understandable because it's popular. Food: 4.5/5 Cleanliness: 4/5 (bathroom was a bit messy) Price: $$-$$$ Comeback rate: maybe for special occasions.

The quality and flavor of food are comparable to restaurants in China - so homely! The lamb buns were soft on top, juicy in the middle, and crispy on the bottom, nom nom. The bread is a must. And the lamb dish is wonderfully seasoned and so filling. The veggie stew is great too, but came a little too late and we doggie bagged it for later.

The food is wonderful, genuine Chinese cuisine. Perfect for families and friends to gather together.

Best lamb I have ever tasted in North America. All the dishes are so well prepared and have distinctive flavors. The bread, the chicken ( a little bit spicy but perfect for me), tripes and ribs are all super delicious. I could not find a bad dish so far. Highly recommended as a northern Chinese cousin restaurant.

Wow. No need to venture to mainland China for a great taste. Nothing like we have just across in Victoria BC. Lots to chose in that isn’t your standard fare. We only sampled a few dishes and all were great. Special treat was the tofu noodle appetizer. More like a full dish. Be warned, a single ‘chili’ was plenty hot for our virgin palates.

So good! Still thinking about everything that we ordered. Regret not coming here early to try their food. I loved their sautéed spicy mutton. So flavourful and the lamb pieces had so much meat on them which I wasn’t expecting. It’s the numbing kind of spice that I love too(mala) Would love to come back with a bigger group so we could order all their specialty dishes to try. Seating is comfortable and service is great.
