Dont even has chance to try the food. placed order from Uber. food never got delivered. restrurant keep telling the uber driver order has been pick up. called the resturant over 45mins, line is busy. worst servies in the universe.
Trust that is not Uber problem. Soley the resturant 's problem.

Food, was above average for me but service absolutely was crap.
I came in on a non busy hour, and it took them 30 minutes just to serve my ordered drink. A simple hot lemon tea.
The food took longer. We were about to leave until they brought out our food.

The food and drink were average by Richmond standards. The fragrant beef and pine rice are pretty good.

Early breakfast at Happy Day Cafe in Richmond, enjoying A5 Morning Special with two eggs and crispy top bun (bolo bao) and fresh butter & Congee combo steam plain rice roll. Both come with a hot drink; we chose HK milk tea and HK style coffee.

It was bumping busy at 10am but we were quickly seated upon entering the restaurant. I do like the contemporary decor as table and booth/chair are in good condition and the lights are bright with high ceilings. It's not my first time dining at Happy Day Cafe and every time the cafe is clean and bright. The service is always friendly and quick (never feel rushed).

I was served a piece of spoiled beef at this restaurant, which immediately made me feel like throwing up. I reported the issue to the staff, but they showed no concern and were very indifferent.

Looks like it is hard to keep food quality stable here. I used to like it’s breakfast and take out lunch. However, it has been in several visits recently that I found the food quality varied. The satay beef instant noodles in soup that I ordered recently was way over cooked. Noodles were so soft like it has been cooked for 10 minutes. Satay beef is hard and tasteless. Even the milk tea that I liked most was lukewarm and not tasted as good. I asked a waitress if they have a new chef. She couldn’t give a definite answer. For me, I definitely would move it downward from my list of favourite cafes

Went there for a late lunch on a Saturday. No wait to get a table. Got the cream corn chicken, and chicken and salted fish fried rice. Then cream corn chicken was good although it came with far more rice than chicken. The fried rice was really really good and I would probably come back to this place to order it again.

good food, its just the server was organizing all the cutlery behind me and it was very loud the whole time and takes away from the experience with all the clashing.

They need a station inside the kitchen so the noise of the cutlery banging isnt so distracting.

The chef is very good at making black pepper beef noodles. The meat can be as big as a steak or as small as a snail. The noodles are dry and tasteless. The only seasoning in this dish is black pepper and nothing else. I don’t know what Michelin three-star chef can make such a dish??It is recommended that the chef taste his own dishes (shi)

We visit Happy Day Cafe frequently, and it’s one of our favorite HK-style restaurants. Their breakfast menu has plenty of choices, and I especially love the satay beef instant noodle dishes—they’re my go-to. What I appreciate most is that they maintain a consistently good standard no matter what time we visit. It’s a reliable spot for a classic Hong Kong-style meal, and we’ll definitely keep coming back!
